Chapter 383 - Revenge 384: Revealing The Truth (IV) (2/2)
”Not only that,” Anna said as she hands out the folders that she prepared for her grandfather to see, and since she has extra copies with her, she also hands it to Martha. ”Here are the previous activities that my dear uncle and his associates are doing.”
While Martha and Marcus are taking their time to read all the contents in the folder, the twins are observing them. Their attention is mostly on their grandfather, they are worried that something might happen to him because they are giving all information out all at once.
Aside from worrying about their grandfather's well being, they are also worried that Martha and their grandfather might not believe them. Thankfully, they prepared everything in advance just in case they refuse to believe them.
Though, they can't blame them for not believing their words because they are only teenagers who barely know about what the real world is exactly about. People like their grandfather and Martha are the types of people who are a hard one to deal with. They have a lot of experiences compared to them and it is worrisome if they come to doubt them.
”My head.” Marcus puts a hand on his forehead. He felt a surge of pain after reading through the papers Anna gave to him. He wants to believe that what the papers say is not true. He wants to believe that his son did not betray the family he cares about.
However, no matter how much he wishes for all that, the facts that are presenting in front of him is something he can never avoid. Any minutes from now, he has to make a decision. A decision that will most likely break his heart.
”Father.” Arion worriedly called out his father. He already expected this to happen, but he is still not sure what to do if his father suddenly has a heart attack.
If something bad happens to his father's health, the only person he could blame for that is his older brother. He has no idea what went wrong to make his older brother go into the wrong path. Their parents raised them with full of love.
If someone were to ask him what is it like growing up with his loving parents, he would say that he was envious of his older brother. James was loved deeply by their late mother, and Arion is jealous of that.
Their mother puts more attention on James. There was even a time that he would throw tantrum just to get his mother's attention away from James. As for their father, Arion could feel that he loves them both equally, and Arion was fine with that.
'What went wrong, brother?' Arion inwardly asked. If he could, he would like to knock some senses to his older brother's head and make him realize all the bad things he did to the family.
”T-this is all fake!” Marietta couldn't stand watching any longer decided to confront the twins with anger vivid on her eyes. ”You two must be framing us! How dare you frame your uncle James when he's the one standing like a father to the both of you throughout the years your father went missing! How ungrateful.”
Marietta held Anna's wrist so tightly that it turned red in an instant. Arion saw that and he is about to make Marietta regret doing that to his sister, but his sister held him back. It is as if she's saying that she can handle herself and there is no need for him to worry.
”Elder Marietta, neither grandfather or Elder Martha said uncle James' associates out loud. Why are you reacting like this? This action of yours is telling us that you're guilty.” What Anna just said is the truth, neither Marcus or Martha said any names that are inside the folder. With Martha's words and action, she is only admitting that she is one of those traitors.
Truthfully, the twins were expecting more from Marietta, they didn't expect her to act without thinking things through.
”And if you want further proof to prove your traitorous acts, then my brother and I will provide it for you,” Anna added, then yanked her wrist away from Marietta's grip.
