”You got suspended?”

”Yup. I got suspended for a slapping a girl in the face.” Josh spoke as if what happened did not affect him at all.

”And instead of going home, you came here. Why is that?”

”Does my dear girlfriend doesn't like me spending time with her?” Josh spoke sweetly which is very different from his usual character. If someone else were to see him like this, they will have a hard time believing it.

They might even think that this Josh who is talking sweetly to a girl is a whole different person who has the same face of the Josh that Nathalia and the others know very well.

”Stop talking like that, you're creeping me out, babe.” The first time that she and Josh met, Josh was indifferent towards her. Usually, she would have avoided unfriendly people like Josh, but there is something about Josh that lures her towards him.

She bravely approached and every time that she sees him, she tried very hard to his friend. To where they are now, both of them did not expect they would be in a relationship other than friendship. She won't say that she's regretting it, instead, she would say that she was grateful that they ended up together.

”Anyways, answer my question. Why did you come here instead of going home? I'm sure that your mother is looking for you.” Although she has yet to meet Josh's parents, there is one thing that she knows about that she kept hearing from other social ladies and that would be, Josh's mother is a doting parent.

”She sure is looking for me. I mean look at this missed calls from her.” Josh said as he showed the missed calls on his phone to his girl. ”I don't want to go home just yet because I know what will I get once I get home. Besides, I want to spend time with you.”

”Babe, I know you want to spend time with me, but I'm sure the main reason that you're here is that you want to sleep. Unfortunately, my apartment is not a place for you to sleep in when you are hiding from your mother.” If the situation were different, she would let Josh sleep in her place as much as he wants to. Too bad, it's not.

”Fine. But you can also come with me since you don't have school today. This might be the time for you to meet my mother, Sylvia.” Since his precious Sylvia goes into an all-girls school, they can only meet after school or during the weekends. Their schedule rarely matches that's why Josh never had the time to let Sylvia meet one of his friends of his parents.

Sylvia stared at Josh, and she sighed. ”Are you seriously using me now so that your mother won't do anything to you when you get home?” Sylvia knows what kind of a man Josh is. Despite being quiet all the time and most people have no idea what he is thinking, she knows very well that Josh has a scheming mind. And truth to be told, she likes that part of him.

”You could say that. But I do want you to meet my mother. She's been wanting me to bring a girl over since I don't know when.” Josh didn't even try to lie and just told Sylvia that is what he is planning. But when he said that he wants Sylvia to meet his mother, he was serious about it.

Lately, his mother kept on showing him pictures of some random girls, also telling him to meet one of them. He already told his mother that he is already in a relationship, however, she did not believe him. She thinks that he was lying.

”Fine.” Suddenly, Sylvia feels nervous at the thought that she's going to meet Josh's mother. ”Should I bring something as a gift to her?”

”Babe, your presence is already a gift. You don't have to worry too much about my mother. All you need to do is to look pretty and have a conversation with her.” Although Josh said that, his words are not helping Sylvia at all.

'You're telling me to look pretty in front of her?' Sylvia inwardly asked. In her mind, if she does that, Josh's mother might think that she's like any other rich girl who only wants to look pretty. Sylvia doesn't want to leave a mark like that to Josh's mother.

In a room full of books, there was a woman sitting near the fireplace reading a book. She looks so elegant and fragile, but despite that, she also looks like someone who a person shouldn't be messing with.

A few moments later an old man wearing a full black suit came to bring news to this certain woman. ”Madame, young master Josh has arrived home.”

”Is that so?”
