Chapter 356 - Revenge 357: The Drone (1/2)

”So,” Josh spoke slowly. ”You're using me to get you that device?”

”I wouldn't say that I'm using you, it's more like I'm asking you a favor.” The way Josh said it sounds so harsh, and Anna didn't exactly like it that way.

”It's more or less like that, Anna.” Whether Anna is asking for his favor or using him, it's all the same for him. ”So, tell me, what do you want from my Dad?”

”I heard from my Mom that your father invented something new. A mini device, mini silent drone.” When Anna heard that from her mother, she immediately took interest in that new invention Josh's father made.

If she can have that device, then she will be able to use one of its uses. She will be able to use it to eavesdrop on every suspicious conversation Ilana will have to anyone. It might be the wrong thing to do, but she has to do what she has to.

”That new drone?” Suddenly, Josh felt an extreme headache. ”Anna, there is no way my Dad will ever let me get near his new toy.” Every time his father has a new invention, he can't get his hands on it until a month has passed.

This favor that Anna is asking him to do is the most impossible thing he could ever do. The last time he touches his father's new toys, he received the worst punishment ever. Even his mother can't help him at that time.

After hearing that Anna stared at Josh, staring at her if he is actually telling the truth to her. ”Are sure that you can't do anything to persuade your father? I mean, I really need it though.”

”Anna, I know that you have this new mission going on, but I really can't do anything for you.” Josh is sure that whatever request Anna has for him, he is a hundred percent sure that he is able to do it without failing. But this kind of request is just something he has no ability to do so.

”How about I ask my Mom to ask your father to let me borrow it?” If Josh won't be able to help her, then she will just have to use the big gun to help her get the device that she needs.

”Why didn't you think about that in the first place then?” Anna is a smart person and he just can't understand why would she go and ask him a favor when there is an obvious answer in front of her.

Anna smiled and did not say a word because she is way too embarrassed. She can't even look straight in his eyes without remembering the conversation they just have.

”Anna, I can't do that. Your uncle Mike is the type of person who doesn't wanna share his new things until a month has passed.” Mary said with a frown plastered on her face. Earlier before her daughter came in and asks her to do her a favor, she was reviewing the doc.u.ments that James sent to her. And just by reading those doc.u.ments really is unlocking the beast out of its cage inside of her.

”But I really need it, Mom,” Anna said pleadingly. ”I want to use it to spy on my brother.” Anna made an excuse which really made Mary looks at her with a questionable look.

”You want to spy on your brother? Now, why on earth would you want to do that?” Out of the ridiculous things that her daughter had said to her so far, this is the one that is on the top of her list now.

She can't believe that her daughter would actually do such a thing to her son. 'Seriously, what is going on with this girl?' Mary inwardly commented.

”I mean, I wanna spy on him because of what he said.” Though feeling bad for involving her brother's name to her excuse, Anna still manages to keep the expression on her face to look natural. ”He said that there is a girl he is interested in and he's been making his move for a while now. I said to him that I want to meet this girl, but he wouldn't let me. That's why I'm asking you to do this favor for me, Mom.”

To this day, Anna is still surprised that she is able to come up with such an excuse just to get what she wants. 'Aaron will kill me once he found out that I'm using his name again as an excuse.'

After hearing that, Mary succ.u.mbs into deep thoughts.

Lately, she has been worried about her son. She knows that her son is still young and has a lot of years ahead of him. But in this day and age, most teenagers in Aaron's age already has been in a relationship or two.
