Erik is speechless, totally speechless. He did not expect any of these to happen. And there is no need for him to not believe that this man is Anna's father.
Anna's twin brother looks a lot like this man in front of him. There is no need for him to doubt the words of this man. ”Dude, I think you just made a big mistake disrespecting him,” Erik whispered to Kyle.
”Shut it.” He doesn't want to hear any comments from Erik. It's only making him realize how big of a mess he made.
He is already trying too hard to make Anna's family like him, but now, he has to deal with this? Is this some kind of joke? Kyle really wanted yo laugh, but there is no laugh coming out of him.
”Just what I said earlier, you went out of the line,” Arion repeated what he said earlier.
”Sir, I think you are making a big deal out of this. I'm currently courting your daughter. What could have I possibly done to make you say that?” Kyle knows what Arion is trying to say, but he does not want to back just because says so.
After all, Arion left his family for so many years and he is now showing himself to Kyle first instead of his family? In Kyle's perspective, he would not dare to follow whatever Arion will say to him because Anna has been living quite well without her father.
Anna even told him that Aaron despises their father. And he understands why Aaron would feel that way. But someone he feels that it is somewhat unfair.
”Anna is my only princess, and I don't like handing her over to someone like you who have a lot of admirers.”
”A lot of admirers?” As Kyle said this, he knew right away why Arion said this. ”If that is what you are worried about, then you should not worry about it. I don't pay any attention to those pesky people.”
Arion gave Kyle a ridiculing smile. Back then, he said the same thing to Mary's master. It may sound very narcissistic of him, but he too had a lot of admirers. And those admirers cause too much trouble for him and Mary.
”I'm not convinced.” Arion simply said.
Even though Aaron said that he despises his father, Kyle sees that it is very ironic that Aaron is so much alike to his father. He wonders what kind of reunion the father and son will have once they see each other for the first time after long years of not seeing each other.
”It doesn't matter to me if you are convinced of not because I will continue to court your daughter whether you like it or not. You're not the boss of me.” Somehow, knowing the fact that Aaron hates his father is making Kyle have the confidence that he will be able to stand against Arion without any fear.
If Aaron were to know that Arion is against Kyle pursuing Anna, then Aaron might support Kyle without any second thoughts. 'Maybe I should use Aaron as my advantage.' If Arion is really making a move to stand against him courting Anna, then Kyle will have a talk with his future brother-in-law.
