Chapter 242 - Revenge 243: Against the Law (1/2)

Sighing in relief, Erik is happy that Kyle did not do anything to him. If Kyle really did, Erik knows that his back will be on the floor in an instant. Whenever it comes to close-range combat or any other fields, he always losses against Kyle. The thing that he knows best and is able to defeat Kyle is investigating. That is why Kyle asked him for help.

When Kyle asked him for help, Erik almost screamed in happiness and was tempted to throw a party to share his happiness. But he was not able to do that because Kyle would probably punish him for it.

Kyle and Erik are currently in the middle of their class, but they felt bored listening to their professor. As he is bored, Erik turned on his phone and looks at the recent news, and as he is doing that, he came across an article that has Lannie's name on it.

Like a curious cat, Erik read the article, and as he is reading it a frown is starting to form in handsome face.

Erik pokes Kyle's shoulder, trying to get his attention, and he succeeded when Kyle turns his head to face him. ”What do you want?” Kyle asked. He doesn't want to pay any attention to Erik, but the professor who's giving them a lesson is dulling him. He might as well entertain himself from whatever Erik is trying to do.

”Is this true?” Erik asked as he showed Kyle the article that is on the screen of his phone. Whether it is true or not, Erik sees no problem, but he feels something is off with what is written in the article.

With his left eyebrow raised, Kyle replied in a mild tone, ”No, but someday it might.” Kyle knows what is written in that article is not true, and it is surely not gonna happen in the future. But as he is curious to know why is Erik asking him if it's true or not, Kyle said something that might lead to his entertainment.

If he sees that there is a chance for his sister, then he would be happy to help Lannie out as she is helping him now. If there no chance, then he will slowly convince his sister to move on. He does not want his little sister to cling on a one-sided love that could result in her heart to be broken in pieces.

”Might? You're allowing this to happen?” Erik initially thought that Kyle would firmly reject this kind of idea, but hearing that response from Kyle made Erik rethink everything about Kyle.

”Why not? If this makes my sister be happy, then who am I to get in the way?” This sentence that Kyle just spouted came from his heart. Whatever decision his little sister makes as long she is happy, he won't get in the way. But at the same time, he would be keeping an eye on her, just to make sure that she won't get in any danger.

Erik was left speechless. On the inside, he is firmly against Kyle's carefree support on his sister's happiness. Though that supportiveness of Kyle is a great thing, on this matter, Erik thinks that Kyle should rethink everything.

”Kyle, I don't know what's going on in that mind of yours, but you should rethink about this matter.” Erik firmly said, and this made Kyle smirk inwardly.
