Chapter 228 - Revenge 228: Ask Kyle (1/2)

”I don't know. Ask her if you want to know.” Lannie said, giving her brother a hint to have some time with Anna.

Kyle noticed that hint from his sister and gave her an approving smile. ”Didn't know that my sister can be this smart.”

”Brother please, I'm always smart, you are just too arrogant to noticed my smartness.” Lannie smugly said to her brother.

In the Coleman mansion, the only people who are currently there is Anna and her grandfather. Anna had a choice to go with her brother and mother, but she chose to stay home because she got lazy. As for her grandfather, he said that he wanted to clear his mind; the peace and quiet of the mansion are what he needed for his mind.

”Grandfather, why does Kyle frequently visit you here?” Anna asked her grandfather who is currently sitting in front of her, reading a book.

Since she and her grandfather are all alone in the living room, Anna chose this chance to ask her grandfather why Kyle is frequently visiting him. She always wanted to ask this, but she never had the chance to asked about it, since her grandfather seems to get upset whenever she brought up any Robertson's name.

Marcus slowly looks at Anna and pondered on how should he explain things to her. ”He came to report about the findings he has about my brother.”

Anna blinked several times before speaking out the words she has on her mind, ”Brother? You have a brother? I have another grandfather that I don't know about?” Anna knows that she should be surprised that Kyle is somewhat working for her grandfather, but learning that she has another relative that she doesn't know about is more surprising.

”Yes. I'll tell you more about him some other time, Anna.” Now that he is slowly accepting the truth, he feels no pain in telling others about his brother. As a matter of fact, he feels great that he can finally tell the stories about his brother. He has been wanting to do that for a long time now.

”Fine. You can tell me some other time. But you have to tell me why Kyle is working for you, grandfather?” If she can't get answers she wants about her grandfather's brother, then she might as well wants to have the answers to why Kyle is working for her grandfather.

”Well, it's not my position to say,” Marcus said hesitantly. In his point of view, Marcus thinks that he is not the right person to tell Anna about Kyle's real motive on searching for answers that he does not have guts to find. It should be Kyle to tell Anna that he is working for him to have permission.

”Not your position to say? What do you mean by that, grandfather?” Anna really thought that she can at least get an answer for Kyle's frequent visit at least. But her grandfather chose to be selfish.
