Chapter 96 - Revenge 95: Short Time Should Not Be Cut Any Shorter (1/2)

[A minutes earlier]

”Where is uncle Alfonso? I have something to tell him urgently .” Zen asks Pia and they did not notice Anna went to the kitchen.

”Oh, you just missed him when you and Anna came back here.” They just missed him? How did they not noticed it? There is only one way to Alfonso's house hoe on earth did they missed it? If Zen would have known that this would happen, he and Anna wouldn't have stayed at the park for too long.

Zen has a worried look on his face that it made Pia curious. She wanted to ask what is bothering him but she held herself back and instead she said, ”Do you want me to call him?”

Zen shook his head in disapproval. ”I can do it. You can instead focus your attention with Alexandre.” Zen looked at where is Alexandre is, the first time he saw Alexandre he already falls for the little one's charm. He wants to hold Alexandre but Anna stopped him from doing so, her reason was 'You are full of germs, don't touch the baby.' When Anna said that to him he really felt down.

Zen heard from Anna the situation between the mother and child. He thought that it is too unfair for both of them to be separated too early. He hopes that Pia can survive so that Alexandre can have a mother who will support him until he is a grown man.

Zen does not how what it feels like to lose a mother since his mother is still alive and well but he knows that going to be difficult for Alexandre.

Even though Zen would not say it verbally, Pia could sense that Zen is pitying him right now but what can she do about that? This is the fate that she will have to face head-on. If she's regretting something then the only thing she's regretting is that she can't watch her own son grow up to be a fine man that she dreamed of.

”Yes, you are right,” Pia said with a smile on her face and went near her son who is currently laying on his crib. Alexandre was holding his rattle toy. He was so cute as he giggles. Oh, how much she wishes to see him laugh as he grows up.

Tears were welling up on her eyes but she immediately wiped it away. She won't cry; she has to stay positive for the sake of her baby. She wants at least a happy good memories with her child even though Alexandre might not remember anything since he is still a baby.

Zen, on the other hand, looked at the mother and son pair and he felt sad; truly sad. Now more than ever he is determined to bring those people who are targeting them down. They have no rights to kill Pia and Alexandre; Pia still needs Alexandre as Alexandre needed his mother. They both only have such short time between them and that short time should not be cut any shorter.
