”Meaning?” Kyle asked.
”Yes.” The middle-aged man said as he smiled gently as if remembering his olden times. ”It is more like a story if you ask me but behind this necklace...” He held the necklace gently as he continued, ”... it is about a woman who went through a lot of suffering and then one day she decided to stand up strongly, held her head up with full of confidence. She defeated everyone who stands against her, everyone was shocked at her sudden change, it was as if she was reborn to a whole new person... And with that change, it even captured a man's heart, and that man never would have thought that he could fall for someone; he pestered her all day and night until she gives in with that they both lived happily. Strong and unbeatable. That woman was strong in and out, she very admirable.”
After hearing that story behind that necklace, a certain face was flashed through his mind; it was Anna's face. For some reason, that story reminded him of Anna, but he could not point out which part of the story.
While Kyle was appreciating the story, the sales lady scoffed and said, ”Old man, it is a wonderful story but that story is nothing compare to this necklace...” She said referring to the necklace on her hands. ”... this necklace is more beautiful than that simple one. Please don't persuade my costumer to buy that necklace is way below him.” As the sales lady said this there was a glint of anger in the middle-aged man's eyes but the sales lady did not notice that glint and just continue saying that Kyle should buy the necklace in her hands.
Kyle ignored her, ”Put this in a gift wrap for me,” Kyle said while pointing at the simple necklace. The middle-aged man stares at him meaningfully and Kyle noticed it, ”I'm sorry sir, but if you want the necklace you have to fight it over me. I won't give in that easily just because you're older than me.” Forget about respecting the elders, when he wants something he will definitely get it no matter what's the cost.
The middle-aged man laugh heartedly. He never expected that this young man in front of him will really say that. Shaking his head he said, ”No, I don't want it. I think this necklace is more suitable for the person you're going to give it to.” Even though Kyle did not mention anything about giving it to someone else, it was evident in Kyle's eyes that the middle-aged man could guess correctly.
”B-but dear customer! You should really take it from me, who works here, I know very well what my customer wants more. Please don't listen to that old man's blabbermouth.” The sales lady is now irritated by this old man. How dare him to say such nonsense story to her future husband?! She will not allow such an ugly necklace to be bought by her future husband! No, she will not!
”If you know what you're customer really wants then you must have known that I really really want this necklace. As the saying goes costumers are always right. What rights do you have to question me on what I want to buy?! I'm the costumer! I'm the one who will pay for it!” Kyle sneered at her and she got startled by his sudden statement.
But the sales lady still does not want to give up. She again emphasizes her b.r.e.a.s.t and put on a pitiful face on her. ”B-but dear customer—” She is sure that men will give in to a pitiful act of a woman.
Kyle interrupted her and said, ”Shut up soggy woman! Don't think that I do not know what you're trying to do. Do not test my patience because you don't really want to know what I'm capable of.” He said in a very cold tone of voice with that tone of voice the sales lady got scared through her very bones. Kyle looks so scary in front of her. But at the same time, her face beat red when she heard him said 'soggy woman' in front of her face. Everyone in the whole store heard and they all snickered at her. Even the middle-aged man cough many times trying to hold back his laughter. The sales lady was so embarrassed that she wants to dig a hole to hide in. What does he mean by 'soggy woman'?! That is so embarrassing to hear!
Without any other choice in hand, the sales lady immediately took the necklace that Kyle really wants and hurriedly put it in a wrap. After that, Kyle said his thanks to the middle-aged man and left the store.
