”Tsk, I was going to get you a midnight snack. It looks like you're not hungry, then I'm going to sleep.” With that, Jane pretended to leave.

”Ai!” Hey! ”Don't, since it's rare for you to be so hardworking, I happen to be hungry as well, so I'll have to trouble you to take care of this.” Gu Chen jokingly said as he looked at Jian Chu with a smile.

Jane smiled proudly and said, ”Well, let's wait for supper.”

As he spoke, he placed his hands behind his back and left Gu Chen's study room, looking very pleased with himself.

Gu Chen looked at her departing back and couldn't help but smile. He thought to himself, 'This Jian Chu really is adorable.'

After a while, Jane arrived with a bowl of very light white porridge.

Gu Chen put down the document in his hand and looked at Jane who was smiling at him. He said in surprise, ”About this …” This is a midnight snack. ”

Jane nodded and said mischievously, ”Yes, this is midnight snack? ”What, you still want to eat something greasy?”

”Then this is too monotonous.”

”It's not monotonous at all. It's best to have something light to eat at night. Go and have some of the oil you've eaten this day. There's also the spicy chicken. Drink it quickly, it's very delicious.” Jane Chu looked expectantly at Gu Chen, wanting him to drink all the porridge she had made.

”Meat powder?”

”Yes, it is the powder made from cooked meat that is specially added to the porridge. This way, it will have the scent of meat, nutrition and not too greasy.”

”I really didn't know there was such a thing.”

”There are a lot of things you don't know. Just you, don't just think that you're the CEO of a large company. Actually, you don't understand these sort of trivial things.”

”You're still going up to heaven after praising you a few times.” As he spoke, he drank a few more mouthfuls of porridge in satisfaction.

”You're just acting good even after getting a bargain.” Although Jane was talking back to Gu Chen, her heart was still full of joy. After all, Gu Chen had already finished all the porridge he had made.

”Alright, hurry up and go to bed. It's already so late. Aren't you going to attend the school graduation ceremony tomorrow?” Gu Chen instructed with a smile.

”Yes.” ”Alright, then you should rest early. Work is important, but your body is more important. I can't just give you my porridge every day. You'll need more money in the future.” Jane said jokingly as she held the empty bowl.

”You only know about money. Quickly go to sleep.”

Jane left Gu Chen's study with a smile on her face. Gu Chen smiled back at her from the carriage and went back to work.

The next morning, Jane woke up early and dressed herself very beautifully.

Sitting in front of the dressing table in the room, Jane looked at herself in the mirror and smiled.

”Jane Chu, you look really good today.” Jane said to herself in the mirror.

After saying that, she couldn't help but laugh.

Just as she was laughing, her cell phone rang.

At this time, the only person who could call her was her good friend Tang Yiyi.

”Hey, Yiyi, are you ready to leave? I'll be right there.” Jane said happily.

”Alright, I'm going to school now. We'll meet at the school gate.”

With that, she hung up the phone, grabbed her bag from the bed, and quickly ran out.
