She had contacted the doctors earlier to go to the building, they were now waiting in the reception-cum-lounge area of the apartment building.

When they reached there, she helped Qin ZiXuan who, as ordered, had his eyes closed throughout or so she thought, into the building.

She greeted the team and with the doctors in tow, she went to her condo.

After she settled them in the living room, she went on to take a few calls from some project members to tell about the changes in her schedule; she had a project meeting to be at this morning, which she didn't attend to.

Well, her work was done and she was just supposed to supervise the flow of the meeting so, no harm done, on that front.

She called Secretary Qian to put the afternoon meeting on hold until further instructions, she also gave a heads-up to him to follow protocols in case the CEO was unable to attend the meetings and that if push came to shove, she will personally handle the matters, to which, the secretary sighed in relief because today's meeting was with some big shots in the industry.

It seemed like the Secretary had something else to say but he was not sure how to start or altogether unable to do it, she urged him to speed up and hearing the slightly edgy tone, he just affirmed everything as she hung up,...what he wanted to say, well, it's for the future to discuss on.

Watching her work out everything so efficiently and handling everything in such a proficient manner, from the side, Qin ZiXuan had a proud and doting smile on his face as the doctor checked him.

'Meilin is strong.....That is also a reason why I love her'

Maybe it was the difference in his condition from back then or maybe it was due to the dream this morning but he couldn't help but think back about his past, a past he wanted to keep hidden from her.

Qin ZiXuan knew the reason behind his body's constitution.

Qin ZiXuan also knew that he was a monster.

He was immune to the deadliest and most potent of poisons....

He was strong enough to break all the bones of a body, double his size, in an instant and 'kill' someone in a heartbeat on a whim... but the only thing, which can be deemed to be his weakness, except Meilin, was his weak constitution.
