Believe it or not, when she saw those eyes, she literally wanted to puke blood...
1. Her heart got attacked.
2. Though she knew he was deceiving her, she still walked on to the trap head-on!!
Her lips twitched imperceptibly and she heaved a huge sigh, ”haaaaaah....”
”Linlin?”
”XuanXuan, do you hate me?”, she asked a bit tired.
”No!!”, he gave an immediate reply.
How could he possibly hate her??
”Do you think, I am too controlling?”
”mmm...mmm”, he cutely shook his head from side to side, he was still continuing his act!!
”Is it that hard to keep my request?”, she was still able to use a heavy tone though with difficulty after this many attacks.
She was both frustrated and tired...Was he getting tired of her and hence trying to piss her off?
She really wanted to know what he thought of her!
Qin ZiXuan was really confused because of the last few questions.
He didn't get why she was asking such stupid questions?!
But he got his answer from the last one.
Meilin was again 'questioning' her value and importance in his life...for the nth time.
Earlier Qin ZiXuan was genuinely not guilty about what he did but now he couldn't help but feel guilty.
Meilin never asked for anything, anything at all.
The one thing that she asked of him was to take good care of himself and nothing else.
Even this simple wish, he was unable to keep it...he was really guilty because she was questioning herself.
He took a deep breath and opened up, ”Linlin, I'm sorry...dubuqi..”
”XuanXuan, you know I don't want to hear you apologise, right?”
”En....XuanXuan knows. Still, XuanXuan is sorry! I'm sorry I didn't take good care of my health and made you worry...I'll be careful from next time around...XuanXuan is really sorry”, his head was drooped and his voice was very soft and slow, he was genuinely sorry and she knew that he won't repeat such incident again, at least, not in the near future.
A smile returned to her glacial face as she patted his head, ”As long as, you know your mistake and will try not to repeat the same offense, nothing else matters....”
”hmm...XuanXuan will repent!” he nodded his head at her words.
She gave him a smile and asked again, ”What happened?” She asked for the reason as she patted his head, that was resting on her stomach.
”I don't know....” He just felt that his eyes were irritated from a while ago but didn't get a chance to take a look at, so, even he was not sure.
”hm?” she raised a brow.
”I was on the computer throughout the night yesterday and today my sleep was really light due to that dream...I guess my eyes...well maybe, they got affected because of my sudden changes in sleep cycle....”, he didn't want her to go into a self-blame condition again so, he just spoke the truth outright.
”Will you tell me your reason for doing that?”, she at least wanted to try asking.
”I was going through our stocks that night. I was checking them...well...don't get me wrong but I was just checking the ones from our branches throughout the country and abroad..you said about uncle taking care of it, tight? I just wanted to check and before I knew it, it was morning...and about this morning, I'm not sure why myself?....”
Qin ZiXuan lied for the first half without a single change in his expression, well, for a CEO of his status it was norm but of course, that small habit of licking his lips while doing so didn't escape our Meilin's eyes, who herself was the self-proclaimed Xuan-pedia.
Her eyes slightly twitched but the better part for Qin ZiXuan was that, though she got hold of his lie, she thought that it was for the second part.....
She visibly sighed resulting in him tightening his grip further.
”Alright I got it ba” she said in her usual flat but soft voice that was reserved only for him.
