Chapter 2 - 2. Grey suit.... (1/2)

It was early spring, the peach blossoms were in full bloom and the petals were floating in the air giving away a very romantic scene from a cliche school drama but, for her everything was monotonous, no, she didn't have any disease, it's just that, her life didn't have any colour left.

She liked to walk to her office, mainly to work out a bit and also since it was closer to her apartment. Many had commented, most negatively, that it wasn't proper since her status was too high for her to commute by walking but of course no one had enough guts to say it on her face. Well, her Bentley was parked in the underground parking lot and given her status, she could access the place anytime she wanted to so, it was not a big deal.

She stopped outside a high rise, in this era where land cost was high in heavens, this high rise came with its own lawn, where a fountain is placed. At its center was the company's stylized name QMX. Imagine a silver double roundish frame, about 2'5”inch tall, it's the stylized 'Q' and inside it is the stylized 'MX' in metal with metallic-black luster, which in turn is placed over a 1'6” inch high cylinder platform, which is at the centre of the fountain.[I hope you got it, I suck at this...wuwuwu]

Leaving the lawn for now, behind the office building was a park for the workers, it's for them to get fresh air during breaks. Well, the barricaded area was huge, at a glance you'll know that money was spent like water...hehe.

The office was in one among the largest high rises of B-city, .....well, why it wouldn't be?

The QMX was under the Qin Empire. The Qins' are the richest and oldest households in B-city, who control over 1/3 economy of C- country!!

There is not a business out there, in which, this large empire, is not involved in!!

As such, The QMX is the empires' main office building, like the central-command centre, get it?

So, they got to show-off, right?[....hehe]

As she entered the lobby, the murmurs stopped at once. Everyone saw her in her gray suit and were on high alert. All of them greeted her one by one, well, they just nodded their head once and kept looking at the floor afterward, too scared to say anything; it was like the very calm before the storm, they knew, was coming.

She didn't pay much attention to them, so throughout the time, she entered the lobby and then into the elevator, only the clicking sounds of her heels could be heard.

It was not like this every day, the people here, at least, had manners to greet a senior official but on days like this, it was like a guillotine was over their heads and could fall anytime., they were too scared to even breathe, who'll remember to greet out-loud?

[Atsuki: Aren't you guys a bit too scared? Everyone:..hehe...Author, come out. We promise we will hit you.]

After she left the lobby, the murmurs continued.
