49 Agnothar (1/2)

Questioning the very anomaly that is the elf right in front of him, a dwarven warrior, who seemed to be the leader of the group, waits for what the elf is supposed to say.

\”What in the blazes?!!\” Gray gritted his teeth in pain at the arrow still currently pierced right in his left knee. \”This is fucking abuse you assholes!!! Does it really have to come to this, instead of talking it out like civilized people!?\”

The leader merely ignored the ranting as he kneeled to take a closer inspection at Gray. Then without any warning, he pulled out the arrow on the elf's knee, causing the elf to flinch at the pain. The dwarf then faces his archer companion immediately right beside him as he handed the projectile item.

\”Mina.\” The leader called out one of his comrades and a beautiful human warrior with pale blonde hair styled in a pony-tail acknowledges him as she approaches. \”Heal the elf first so that he can walk properly when we take him to our lord's hall for questioning.\”

\”Yes, sire.\” The woman, Mina, nods in response as she kneeled as well to cast a healing spell at Gray's injured knee.

\”W-what is this!?\” Mina's eyes widen with extreme shock as all the warriors turned their attention to her.

\”What's wrong, girl?\” The leader asks as he sees the woman's baffled look.

\”H-his knee.\” Mina's voice stutters apprehensively. \”It's all healed up already.\”

\”W-what!?\” The leader responded with the same amount of astonishment. \”Are you sure you are not pulling our leg girl!?\”

\”Of course not!!\” Mina retorted loudly. \”I didn't even cast my healing magic, yet his knee doesn't even sport a single injury like the arrow didn't even make its mark in the first place.\”

Indeed, Gray felt that his knee is now perfectly fine the moment when the arrow was plucked right out from him. The bleeding was all gone and he felt that he could stand up at any moment in this instance.

The elf too was feeling confused as well amidst the situation, wondering about the mysterious phenomenon that has occurred to him.

'Strange.' Gray thought as he stared at the once wounded area of his body. 'I could have sworn that I felt my health was certainly reduced as caused by the arrow shot, but my health regenerated in an instant shortly after. This is definitely weird.'

His self-questioning has to be saved for later though as he was still being eyed suspiciously by all of the warriors that currently surrounds him.

\”Can you stand?\” The leader asks him, receiving a nod of response from the elf as he did so. \”Good. Now let me ask my previous question again. Who are you and how did you get here in our sacred plane?\”

\”I… I'm not sure.\” Gray answers with uncertainty on his voice. \”All I know is that when I offered my prayers to the god, Agveyr at his temple, I was simply summoned here without any warning.\”

With the elf's response, all of the warriors in his vicinity glanced towards one another as they are seen to be mumbling tensely with nervous expressions.

\”C-crap, did we make a mistake?\”

\”By our lord's blade, is he perhaps summon by our lord?\”

\”Shit, we were not informed about this.\”

\”He must be someone important if the lord did summon him here.\”

\”Hopefully, the lord will be merciful on us in his punishment.\”

\”Silence!!\”

The last statement came from the leader as he immediately ceased his subordinates' bantering before it can even go out of hand.

\”A mortal then, huh.\” The leader said as the elf nods at his remark.

\”If what you said is true.\” The leader said to Gray. \”Then we apologize for our transgressions earlier. While we were training outside here at the grounds, we sensed a foreign oddity suddenly entering this realm without us being informed, thus we can only assume that an enemy has somehow found his way into our realm. This is not the first time that happened though as the last figure spread his unbiased chaos and destruction towards all. Of course, that happened thousands of years ago when Xaz'vernok declared war on every plane of existence. The horrifying memories of his burning havoc are forever engraved into our minds. So, forgive us if we are being too cautious in our endeavors.\”

\”You could have asked first, you know, before charging right at me mindlessly.\” Gray crossed his arm with an unimpressed look. \”Anyways, what's done is done and I'm all healed up, I suppose. I guess you are going to lead me to that huge golden castle over there, right? I also want to know the reason as to why I am here.\”

\”Yes, that is our intention all along.\” The leader said. \”Please follow us.\”

As Gray was now being led by the warrior group that was hostile to him earlier, he took the time to take a closer observation at them.

The leader of the band of warriors is a dwarf. Evident by his short bulky stature and brown messy hair and a long beard. He is clad in a set of brown plate armor with a Warhammer of the same color scheme strap on his back.
