Chapter 94 - My Mistake (1/2)

These past few days Xi Jian couldn't see Ling Yue a single glance in the office. He was the one who avoided Ling Yue before, so when Ling Yue did the same to him, his mood felt horrible. Some people who contacted with him were forced to swallow his wrath. Just a small mistake made them feel like they were in their beheading court.

When Ling Yue called, a glimmer of relief appeared in his heart but did not change his anxiety due to a silent call. A various bad thoughts entered him and as he saw her so close to other men, Xi Jian would break that head if only Ling Feng was not overtake him.

How funny they both panicked, but that woman actually had fun here.

Ling Feng nudged his shoulder. ”While we're here, how about we continue our conversation there?” Ling Feng stood up and walked to the main bar. Xi Jian followed him.

They spoke but Xi Jian's response was senseless. His eyes continued to run towards Ling Yue. There was a man sitting next to her and he periodically touched Ling Yue.

'Why does that woman let that bastard touch her hair?'

'Now her arms.'

And he almost crushed his glass as the man pinched Ling Yue's cheek.

”Oh yeah, how is your body? Do you need a re-examination?”

”Hmm ...”

Ling Feng was aware of his friend's strange behavior. He did not pay attention to what his sister was doing, but he knew which direction she sat.

”You know ... about Ling Yue ... I realize my mistake now.” He leaned his back.

Hearing Ling Yue's name being called, Xi Jian's attention shifted to him. A bitter laugh came from Ling Feng. ”I know what that stare mean is. Don't even try it, Xi Jian.”

Xi Jian didn't feel surprised at Ling Feng's words.

”You promised me.”

Xi Jian's guilt kept him quiet. He gulped down the contents of his glass then stood up.

”Where are you going?” Ling Feng asked.

”Bathroom.”

”What are you doing here boss?” Zou Ci approached his boss who was standing in front of the bathroom sink. ”I guess everyone thinks in the bathroom.” He talked to himself and went into the bathroom to do his business when his boss didn't answer.

Xi Jian looked at himself in the mirror. He was handsome and rich. Never short of girls and always got what he wanted. But now he wants his bestfriend's sister.

Is this reasonable?

Is he willing to ruin his friendship because of a woman?

Betraying someone who sacrificed his life for him?

Maybe his decision to avoid Ling Yue was a good one. Isn't Ling Yue doing the same thing?

He walked out with a million thought. Maybe returning Ling Yue to her old office was the best solution for this. That way he could get rid of his feelings if he never sees her again.
