Chapter 45 - Wu Brothers (1/2)
Ling Yue succeeded in wearing a simple modern qipao, her choice among the luxurious dresses provided by her grandfather. Wrapped in a fitting silver-colored dress made from satin, silk and tile with some gold embroidery, makes Ling Yue look elegant and charming.
The knee-length qipao has low mandarin collar, quarter sleeves and a slits on the sides of the dress, from the top of the thigh to the knee. Her half of hair was tied with a silver hairpin, while the rest of it was left loose and curled at the ends.
Xi Jian looked at those two people. His face slightly crumpled at Ling Huansheng. He finally found the answer to who he really was. He suddenly felt silly. That man turned out to be her younger brother. Ling Feng's brother!
'Tch! Ridiculous! Why am I being concern about that?'
His eyes wandered back at Ling Yue. That woman appeared one hundred eighty degrees very different from usual. Xi Jian turned his gaze to the his phone when he felt another look watching him.
Ling Feng looked around, watching over anyone who seemed intent to pounce on his little sister. His gaze stopped on his best friend who looked at Ling Yue for a moment then returned to his cellphone. There was something bothering him, but maybe it was just his assumption that had been excessive. There was no way his best friend had any other intentions for Ling Yue. Not after that incident.
Ling Yue and Ling Huansheng joined their grandfather and wish him a happy birthday. Ling Yujin ended the formal speech and invited his distinguished guests to enjoy a snack before the main dinner was served. The guests who came were mostly from the military and business partners, some came from entertainment and prominent government leaders.
”You look stunning, Yueyue. If you are interested in entering the entertainment world, you will immediately enter my A-list celebrities.” Wu Yihan, their first cousin embraced Ling Yue. This man runs one of the leading entertainment businesses in the country. His artists are among the most expensive in contracts and advertisements.
Ling Yue shook her head. ”No, thank you. I don't think that's my field.”
”Yeah, your field is too rigid,” Wu Qin joined in.
”Look who's talking,” Ling Huansheng chuckled.
Wu Qin was one of the specialist doctors like Ling Huang. He became the department head and the youngest specialist at his family's hospital.
”Now that you guys have gathered, I feel like only my profession looks boring.” Ling Yue felt a little inferior in the face of her major siblings, doctors and businessmen.
”Even if you feel that your profession are ordinary, you just need to find an extraordinary husband, that way you will also feel extraordinary,” Wu Qin suggested it.
