Chapter 32 - Congratulation (1/2)

Ling Yue was not someone who likes to sit still, so she looked around the room there. Not far from the living room, there is a library containing a row of Xi Jian bookshelves. It contained mostly computer books, some about management, economics and a series of others, some of which she had seen in the Ling Huansheng's book collection.

Ling Yue shifted to another room. She opened the curtains that covered the wide window in the TV room. The window was high and almost as wide as the wall there. Located on the roof terrace, this penthouse has a beautiful view of the city skyline of M.

”Whoaa this is gorgeous!”

”You should see the master bedroom, that is better,” someone spoke behind her.

Ling Yue turned and saw Xi Jian walking towards her, holding out a bottle of mineral water. ”Ling Feng will arrive shortly,” he said as he opened his own drink bottle and leaned back casually on the sofa. ”Sit.”

Ling Yue didn't like the command tone in his voice, but she stay seated. Ling Yue opened the bottle and drank.

”I have no other drinks besides alcohol, I hope you don't mind.” He pointed to the drinking bottle in Ling Yue's hand.

”No problem.”

Then silence fell suddenly, made the atmosphere feels strange. After an odd pause, Xi Jian spoke again. ”Congratulations”

Ling Yue narrowed her eyes. ”What for?”

”You finally have a chance with He Luo.”

”What?”

”Am I wrong?” Xi Jian raised an eyebrow. ”As I recall, you almost cried when He Luo introduced his girlfriend 'that time'?”

”Don't imagine things! What's that to do with you, anyway?” Ling Yue suddenly felt angry. How the person in front of her shamelessly reveals her secrets directly at her face?
