Episode 258- Pointing finger at Eugene at the entrance to the academy
”Shh. Don't talk. You don't want to anger the nobles.”
From the tone that was used to respond to the girl who had asked, Eugene suspected that they weren't friends and were strangers.
Eugene moved her gaze away to observe the whole area. The area was crowded with people in line. A crowd of young students amounted to about 100 students.
'And these are only first years.' Eugene sighed.
”But-” The girl protested, her voice hinted that she was incredibly confused and curious over why she couldn't talk when the other girl pushed her away.
”Stay away from me! I don't want to get in trouble!”
”Ah!”
The girl who was pushed to the side had her luggage on the floor hence she tripped over it and was just about to fall when Eugene reflectively grabbed her and pulled her to her embrace to negate the impact.
”Ah?” The girl turned to Eugene, whose face was covered with a gigantic hat. The girl lowered herself to look at Eugene's face and smiled, ”Thank you very much!”
”No problem,” Eugene responded before letting go of her. That's when she realized that she had left a red mark on the girls' wrists.
'... Am I that strong?' She couldn't help but wonder. Eugene reached for the girl's wrist again who was staring at Eugene with big eyes. She lightly touched her wrists and asked her,
”My apologies for hurting you, does it hurt?” She asked her.
”Oh?” The girl stared at her red wrists, ”No! No! It doesn't hurt!”
Eugene knew that the girl was lying so she added some strength, however, the girl didn't flinch and only blinked innocently.
Eugene sighed before she crouched down and opened her luggage. She took out a cooling balm, closed her luggage, and stood up. Everyone was staring at them at this point because of the loud noises they were making. Not to mention, Eugene had opened her luggage in the middle of the crowd, which incited their curiosity.
The people in front turned to them and looked at them with a curious gaze, while the people behind Eugene were staring at Eugene and the girl with a pale and horrifying look. It was truly horrifying to them alright?
One girl shoved a girl into Eugene's arm. While the girl who was shoved dared speak to speak with the blessed twin. Not to mention, the blessed twin didn't do anything and helped the girl. She even kneeled down in front of the girl. Because of this 5-minute ordeal, everyone behind Eugene felt as if they'd lived a hundred lives due to the various emotions they were going through.
Eugene opened the lid of the cooling balm, got a big amount of the balm before rubbing it on the girl's wrists. The girl didn't say anything and only watched as Eugene applied the balm on her. After Eugene finished rubbing the balm in, she closed the lid of the balm and passed it to the girl.
”Here, take this.” Eugene had no idea that when he handed the girl the balm, everyone whose attention turned to the balm would gasp in surprise and in horror.
”Thank… Thank you. You are very kind.” The girl thanked Eugene and asked, ”What is your name? My name is Camille, Cami for short.” She smiled as she introduced herself.
