Chapter 595 - Thunder Cloud (1/2)
Julian is intrigued about the legends behind the legendaries of the Unova Region, it takes him a day to reach Nacrene city, during his ride he saw some pokemons that he hasn't seen before but he didn't catch any of them.
They didn't meet his standards, even though he loves likes every pokemon that doesn't mean he will raise anyone.
He wants to find the best out of the bunch so they can be the best in the world.
After getting a room in a nice hotel in Nacrene city he sat down on the couch and watched the TV, he is waiting for tomorrow, the exhibition match between the two elite fours, these type of battles are very common around the regions governed by the League.
They held these kinds of massive exhibition battles to bring in some funds for their operation and since the public likes to watch powerful trainers battle each other they will have to pay for it.
This is how the world works and nobody questioned anything about it, it was a win-win situation to them, they were getting entertained and enjoyment out of these matches while the League was profiting from them.
Julian switched to a news channel in which he saw something interesting.
Reporter ”A thunder cloud has been seen near the sea south of Nuveman Town, it is a very unusual phenomenon as thunder clouds are not present during this time of the year, scientists believe that this is an unnatural phenomenon created either by a pokemon or something else?”
The TV then showed the massive thunder cloud that crackled with lightning, Julian saw this and is surprised, such a massive thunder cloud and it is out of season.
Julian ”Now this is interesting, it hasn't even been a few days since I got here and I am already seeing unusual stuff”
He said and smiled while looking at the massive thunder cloud, the thunder cloud seems to be still and not moving around so there is no danger from it.
But there are some concerns about this thunder cloud if it's natural it's not a big deal, even though lightning from natural thunder clouds are a thousand times more powerful than a Thunder Attack from a pokemon but the damage that they leave behind is not huge because they only strike under a second and under that second they can cause a lot of damage to a single target, they don't cause mass destruction which an Electric-type pokemon can do.
The electricity from an Electric-type pokemon is very different from natural lightening from a thunder cloud created by nature, even though their properties are the same they react differently, while a bolt of normal lightning needs to form a circuit and completely a rotation to cause any damage, the electricity from an Electric-type pokemons doesn't need to follow that recruitment, that is why they can cause massive damage to a Flying-type pokemon but a natural Lightning has no effect on them, same could be said for planes as well, as they are not on the ground, a bolt of natural lightning cannot do any damage to a flying plane.
So Julian is worried.
If this is really a natural phenomenon he has nothing to worry about, even if someone gets hit by a bolt of lightning and they will die but it's only one person, but if this is a rouge pokemon its attack can injure a lot of people and pokemon and destroy a lot of properties, even though the lightning will not be as fatal as a real natural bolt of lightning it is still dangerous.
Electric-type pokemons are the most mysterious type of pokemons in the world, their power is so similar to natural electricity but they don't react the same, that is also the reason by electric types are also one of the most destructive typing for an attack-type pokemon.
Julian's concern is justified but he cannot act, he has just arrived in Unova and he cannot cause a ruckus here and the thunder cloud hasn't been a problem at all.
