Little Lu, who was only wearing a shirt, walked in. After closing the door behind him, he said to Fu Huai'an, ”Sir, that Miss Sun Miaomiao called to say that she has arrived in Haicheng. I asked one of our company's staff members to pick her up and temporarily arranged for her to stay at the employees' dorms!”

Fu Huai'an nodded. ”Make the arrangements as you see fit!”

Little Lu pulled out a chair, shielded the tie before his chest as he sat down, and spoke hesitantly. ”That Miss Sun said that she wants to see you and thank you in person…”

Little Lu wasn't a fool. Instead of insisting on thanking Fu Huai'an in person, couldn't she have thanked him over the phone?

Fu Huai'an was such a busy man, and he could only eat in peace when Lin Nuan was accompanying him. Why should he have to spare time out of his schedule just to hear a word of thanks from an unimportant person?

Little Lu had followed Fu Huai'an for many years and could guess that he likely wouldn't meet her. Therefore, he rejected her politely on Fu Huai'an's behalf.

”Tell her it's nothing and that there's no need for thanks!” Fu Huai'an clearly didn't think much of this matter.

Little Lu nodded. ”I've already rejected her, saying you're not in Haicheng!”

Lin Nuan could sense the intention behind the girl wanting to thank her husband in person. She lowered her head and ate the slice of meat that Fu Huai'an put in her bowl, not angry or anything. She merely felt that there seemed to be some problems with the morals of this young lady called Sun Miaomiao, whom Uncle Blessing and Aunt Blessing praised!

Sun Miaomiao clearly knew that Fu Huai'an was a married man, yet she was throwing herself at him so blatantly. This behavior was a little too ugly.

Lin Nuan had just dipped the beef slice in the sauce bowl when she felt an abnormal heated sensation in her tummy. Lin Nuan's fingers clenched around her chopsticks. She then lowered her chopsticks and picked up her phone. ”I'm going to the washroom. Be back shortly!”

As Lin Nuan's bodyguard, You Nainai naturally lowered her chopsticks as well, wanting to go with Lin Nuan.

”Nainai, there's no need for you to accompany me. I have my phone with me! If anything's the matter, I'll call you!” Lin Nuan didn't want to interrupt You Nainai in the middle of her meal.

”You'd better let her go with you!” said Fu Huai'an. ”If you refuse to let her, You Nainai will be more worried!”

You Nainai nodded.

Lin Nuan had no choice but to go to the washroom with You Nainai. Once she entered the stall and saw the dark red bloodstains on her underwear, Lin Nuan felt a little disappointed. Yet, at the same time, she heaved a sigh of relief.

After the anesthetic and tetanus shot, Lin Nuan was worried that should she really be pregnant, it would have an adverse effect on the child. If that happened, she would regret it and live in pain for the rest of her life!

However, didn't her period come a little too early this time?

Lin Nuan called You Nainai on the phone. You Nainai walked to the stall that Lin Nuan entered and asked in front of it, ”What's the matter?”

”My period came, but I didn't bring a sanitary pad…” Lin Nuan sounded a little awkward.

You Nainai knew from the body checkup that the levels of hCG in Lin Nuan's body had increased, so she couldn't help worrying when she heard Lin Nuan say that her period had arrived.
