She patted his little head and praised him, ”Your drawing is wonderful!”

Tuan Tuan felt slightly embarrassed. He took off his slippers and propped himself up on Lin Nuan's lap as he carefully tugged on her sleeve. ”Mama…”

”Yes?” Lin Nuan looked at his chubby little face.

He had a look of anticipation and shyness in his eyes. After he indirectly tried to make his point, Lin Nuan realized that he wanted to sing a song to her called ”Mama said”. His kindergarten teachers taught the class the song that they were going to perform the next month at their celebration, and he took it quite seriously.

Tuan Tuan was quite a shy kid who barely even spoke that much. With him being brave enough to sing to Lin Nuan, she was definitely going to be supportive.

Tuan Tuan sat down next to Lin Nuan and snuggled up to her. He cleared his throat and then sang in the most angelic voice. ”When Mama said that it was ok. Mama said that it was quite alright. Our kind of people had a bed for the night. And it was ok. Mama told us we are good kids…”

After he finished singing, Tuan Tuan blushed and stared at Lin Nuan with his glistening eyes as he waited for her to praise him.

Lin Nuan smiled from her cheeks and caressed his head. ”Out Tuan Tuan is amazing! What a lovely voice.”

He did have a lovely voice—Lin Nuan wasn't merely flattering him.

Tuan Tuan asked shyly in a low voice, ”Is Mama going to come?”

Lin Nuan smiled and gazed into his anticipating eyes. She knew he was asking if she was going to their kindergarten celebration. She thought for a moment and replied seriously, ”Yes. Of course I'll go!”

Tuan Tuan felt elated that his mama was going to his kindergarten! He wanted to let the other kids know he had the prettiest mama in the world.
