”Who are you, why are you looking for Wang Ming?”
Wang Ming had never seen this person before, so he needed to be cautious, in case he has ill intentions. Even though the man didn't look bad, there's nothing wrong with being cautious. Many people judge people based on how they look and how wealthy they are, something Wang Ming didn't care too much about. He felt like most people use expensive clothing and extravaganzas to cover up their flaws.
”I'm Yang Chenguang, the lawyer representing the Cao family, Young master Cao, Cao Hu wants to transfer his shop to Wang Ming.” The lawyer then gave Wang Ming and Kang Xiang his card. Wang Ming had never heard about Yang Chenguang before, but Kang Xiang reacted like Yang Chengang's an important person.
”Are you the lawyer that sent Feng Hong, the young master of the Feng family to prison?”
Yang Chenguang smiled and said with modesty, ”I'm only doing my job.”
”Wang Ming, do you know who this man is? He's one of the best lawyers in this district! He has put multiple rich people who think that they're above the law to jail!” Kang Xiang put his hands on top of his mouth after he finished. In his excitement, he had revealed Wang Ming's identity. Even he had realized that Wang Ming was deliberately hiding his identity.
Rolling his eyes at Kang Xiang, Wang Ming just sighed. Even though what Yang Chenguang has done is indeed impressive, like he said, he's only doing his job. One day, if his client wants him to do something illegal, would he do it? ”I'm Wang Ming, but you can just leave, I won't take the shop, I don't believe in a free meal. He wants me to do something for it, right?”
”Young Man, I know now why Cao Hu wants to give you the shop, you're not as simple as you look. You're right, he wants something from you. I won't beat around the bush anymore. You can take the shop the only thing they want from you is that you don't investigate the case. The Cao family will deal with the police, do you understand? The terms are that you don't personally investigate the case.”
Wang Ming wanted to laugh, listening to Yang Chenguang. He had never heard of a lawyer like this. ”If you say it like that, then I'll agree to the conditions. I won't personally investigate the case anymore, I will drop it.”
”I'm glad we understood each other. The only thing you need to do is to sign these doc.u.ments, then you can move into the shop right away. The Cao family have vacated the shop already.”
Grabbing the doc.u.ments Yang Chenguang gave him, Wang Ming read through the doc.u.ments in roughly 10 minutes. Wang Ming felt his mind had become a lot sharper recently. He could read, comprehend, and even his memory had gotten a lot better. For Yang Chenguang and Kang Xiang, it just looked like he was flipping through the 50 page long contract.
Seeing him read so fast, made Kang Xiang worried, even though he thought that Yang Chenguang's an upright man and probably won't scam Wang Ming. They could never be too cautious. After Wang Ming put down the papers, he whispered to him. ”Wang Ming, I think you should read the doc.u.ments again, use your time, what if they have hidden clauses in it?”
Seeing Kang Xiang's worry made Wang Ming's heart warm, Kang Xiang's truly a great friend. ”Don't worry, I've read through everything and remember every single detail. If you don't believe me, then take the doc.u.ments and flip to a random page.”
Kang Xiang felt doubtful, but still did it. He only wanted to prove Wang Ming wrong so that he would properly read the doc.u.ments. ”Page 12.”
”As of noon at the beginning of the date of this agreement, the seller hereby sells, conveys, assigns and transfers to the buyer the assets set forth.”

”Except for the Assumed Contracts, the buyer does not assume.”
