Chapter 116 - Shoot him or not? (1/2)

When Wang Ming saw Hou Zhenan take a shot at him, he felt panic Hou Zhenan had clearly aimed straight at his head and fired. It was at that moment Wang Ming did an irrational action that saved his life. He used his hand to block the bullet, but of course even if Wang Ming has an enhanced body, there's no way his hand could block the bullet.

The bullet sliced through his hand like butter, but what his hand also did was it changed the trajectory of the bullet just barely. That it missed Wang Ming's head and flew right into the wall behind him. Luckily Hou Zhenan only shot one bullet if he had shot multiple, then there's no way Wang Ming would have been alive.

Hou Zhenan and Su Qiuyue couldn't believe Wang Ming's luck the shot should have clearly killed him, but with his luck he survived with only a minor injury while Hou Zhenan lost two of his fingers from the shot. Even though this wasn't the first time he got shot, but he hadn't felt this kind of pain in a long time and it made him mad. He didn't even know if he could recover the fingers.

Hearing his guards running and shouting in the hallway, Brother Hou smiled through the pain. When they catch him, he would torture this man until he would beg for him to kill him.

”Kid, run away now if you want a chance of survival. When my guards come, you're going to regret it. I'm going to subject you to the worst kind of torture, physical torture is nothing to mental torture. I'll catch every person acquainted to you if it's a male I'm going to torture them then sell them as labor slaves, as for the females you know what's going to happen to them. But I'll be nice I will not sell them as p.r.o.s.t.i.t.u.t.es but I'll give them away for free to every homeless person in China! Your friends are going to become famous! Well, hopefully you don't know any children because if you do, I'll make it easy and just kill them all.”

Wang Ming truly understood now how Hou Zhenan could be a boss in the underworld, he's a ruthless maniac. Even though most of his underlings wouldn't truly respect him, they would definitely never dear to have any ill intentions. Most of his underlings should have family, friends or lovers. If they do anything harmful to Hou Zhenan, then their closest would be in tremendous danger, the perfect leverage.

But Hou Zhenan had also hit Wang Ming's reverse scale. There's only one thing he appreciates more than his life, his family. Wang Ming and Hou Zhenan's not only two people living in two different worlds but they're like yin and yang. Wang Ming would do anything for his family, while Hou Zhenan wouldn't hesitate to use his or any other family to better his gains.

He truly just wanted to kill Hou Zhenan right at this moment, but the good in him prevented him to do so. Why should he a normal human being be the judge and kill another human being? Killing Hou Zhenan here would make him as much of a beast like Hou Zhenan. But if he didn't then it would only be a matter of time before Hou Zhenan finds out who he is, but even if he never finds out that Wang Ming is the person who infiltrated his house, would the harassment from Hou Zhenan ever end?

But he had no time more time to think as Hou Zhenan's underlings were coming, he could hear them right outside the door. Seeing the door open, Wang Ming hid to the side, so they had to walk into the room before seeing him. Since Hou Zhenan had lost his gun and fingers, Wang Ming didn't see him as a threat at this moment. He would need to rid of the guards first.

When the guards stepped in they had all their attention on Hou Zhenan and Su Qiuyue, Hou Zhenan tried to warn his guards that there's an intruder. But before they could react, Wang Ming knocked them both out cold from the side. He would have to leave ASAP before more guards come.

Even though he didn't want to, Wang Ming couldn't see any other option now. He tried to rationalize himself, avoiding what he really needs to do. Deep down he knew that Hou Zhenan's a lost cause, he could never control him. If he didn't kill Hou Zhenan now, then he would probably regret this for the rest of his life.

Hou Zhenan and Su Qiuyue tried to run away when Wang Ming dealt with his underlings, but since Wang Ming had covered the door, the couple ran out to the balcony to find another exit, but the balcony's at least 10 meters over the ground they would be lucky to survive the fall.
