Chapter 111 - Time for action (1/2)

The deal Crazy Nu signed with each other's fairly simple, as long as Crazy Nu gives the meat to right time everyday nothing will happen. As long as he kept sending high-quality meats to his restaurant and he got no complaints, then Wang Ming would even pay Crazy Nu more money after a timeframe of 1 year, which would be the trial period.

Of course, in a 1500 pound deliver it's bound to be some mishaps, so it's acceptable that 10% is not up to standard as long as it's replaced within two hours.

After clearing up all the finer details, Wang Ming gave Crazy Nu Fu Jinhai's number in case he needed something, he didn't need to give Crazy Nu the restaurants address as it's in the contract and the man had been so fascinated by his restaurant he had memorized the address vowing to go there and eat sometimes, after hearing about it in the news all the time.

Wang Ming took a deep breath after walking out of the store, everything's finished now, he would only need to take care of Brother Hou. Then everything would be better. He wouldn't need to look behind his shoulder every time he sees a thug on the streets.

The clock was only at 2pm, still a while until the ambush would take place, so Wang Ming found a cafe to sit down to wait for the time. He could have done other things like try to improve on his cooking skills or maybe even visit Ming Ming or friends. But he didn't feel like it, he only wanted to concentrate on what was coming up ahead.

He might kill someone later today, even though he had killed at two separate occasions already, he couldn't escape the guilt. Even though they're bad people, who is he to take their life away? Who gave him the right to be decide who lives and who dies?

He felt conflicted but, then if he doesn't kill them would they let him go? If he hadn't killed at the warehouse and at his restaurant, the person who would have been dead was him.

Even though he knows it's the truth, he doesn't want to accept it. It's a human life.

”It's a human life! Stop Husband!”

Wang Ming had been sitting in his cafe chair for a few hours now, thinking contemplating even though he tried to plan for later, but the only thing he could really think about is Brother Hou's face after he shoots him right in the c.h.e.s.t it terrified him.

The 5 cups of coffee he had drunk in a few hours didn't help his anxiety either it just fueled the beast. But that ended when he heard a woman shout.

Looking up, he saw two persons, a man and a woman it seemed like they were arguing about to keep their baby or not. The woman's stomach looked big, like she had been pregnant for at least 4-5 months could even be longer.

Wang Ming hadn't listened to their conversation, but seeing the husband slapping his wife hard across the face, Wang Ming knew he had to stop this. Even though he didn't want to be nosy who in the world slaps his own wife, even worse, his pregnant wife.

The wife fell right down to the floor, which made a loud sound attracting the attention of everyone else in the cafe. There weren't many people in the cafe at the moment, only 10 people, but it didn't seem anyone wanted to help the woman.

Wang Ming wanted to see first if the husband was going to help the woman up and apologize to her, but he turned his back to his wife and went to order coffee, which made Wang Ming's blood boil. What a bastard, he thought.

Running to the woman to help her up, Wang Ming realized the woman is someone he hadn't seen in years.

”Cai Xue? Is it you?”

Since Wang Ming had only seen them both from the side earlier and his attention was on her stomach, he hadn't realized the person who got abused were none other than his old crush.

Wang Ming had met her 5 years ago when he was still working at Weng Ping's restaurant, Cai Xue was a new waitress his father had hired. Even though she was 10 years older than him 28, Cai Xue had been the funniest and smartest person Wang Ming had ever talked to, not that he had socialized with many people, since most of the time he would be working.

But she only worked there for two years before Wang Ming could even tell her about his feelings. Seeing her now being married to another man made his heart itch. But then he now also has people he feel more for than what he felt for Cai Xue before.

Though what shocked him was to see her in this state, after she quit her job he never saw her again. But she had talked about her dreams, how she wanted to go to college and get a degree, she never wanted to get married or get a kid.

”Wang Ming? Is it really you? What happened to you?! How are you so, so handsome?”

The comment made Wang Ming laugh. He didn't think after three years that would be the first comment he got from her. He felt so nostalgic meeting Cai Xue again. He suddenly remembered how she would always make him laugh and feel better, when he was at his lowest, threatening to break from all the pressure his father put on him.

”It's me.”

Wang Ming then helped Cai Xue up. He examined the damage on her face, but felt surprised to see that she barely had any damage on her face. If he hadn't known Cai Xue, he would have thought that they were scammers trying to scam him, like the ones back in the bar tried, when he first met Mai Cheng.

But then he felt someone touch his shoulder and shout.

”Hey you! If you don't want me to break your arms, legs and report you to the police, then get your filthy hands off my wife!”

Wang Ming felt déjà vu when he heard what the man said and his voice. It sounded so familiar there's no way it could be him, right?

Brushing off the hand on his shoulder, Wang Ming supported Cai Xue up before turning around to see none other than Mai Cheng(1). Seeing him confused Wang Ming wasn't he just a brat, why would he be together with Cai Xue?

”Big Big Brother Ming?! What are you doing here, I didn't mean to offend you, I'm sorry!”
