Chapter 107 - Me Too (1/2)

Ming Ming wanted to have a sleepover at Wang Ming's house, but since Fu Ya felt embarrassed, she denied Ming Ming's request. She didn't mind if only Ming Ming wanted to sleep here, but her daughter wanted them to all sleep together.

”Ming Ming, it's time to go home!”

”But.”

”No buts. Your daddy, has business to do, we still need to take care of grandma's shop tomorrow, you need to go to bed soon. I promise if you are a nice girl I will let you have sleepovers at Wang Ming's place okay?”

They could see Ming Ming's reluctant face. This is the first time she's visited her Daddy's house she wanted to stay longer.

”Okay…”

”Don't be sad, Ming Ming, the next time you visit Daddy will make you even more candy.”

Her ears perked up when he mentioned the word candy. Her face went from teary to smiling in a matter of seconds they could clearly see the anticipation in her face.

”Mommy lets go, sleep now. Then we'll visit Daddy sooner! Ming Ming wants candy!”

Fu Ya didn't know to laugh or cry seeing how Ming Ming acted, she had never seen her act like this before especially for sweets. But seeing her act so free like a normal kid made her happy, her daughter had always been reserved.

Even though Ming Ming never said anything, Fu Ya had seen it already from when she could walk the jealous look in her eyes, when she looked at other families.

She had seen the yearning in Ming Ming's eyes many times, but even though her not having a father bothered her, she said nothing to her. Fu Ya didn't understand at first, but after long talks with her mother, Ming Ming's grandmother, they concluded with that Ming Ming was protecting her.

”Okay, okay, you little rascal. Now say goodbye before we go.”

Ming Ming ran over to Wang Ming and gave him a big hug, then leapt to her shoes and ran back to their home, Fu Ya tried to shout for her to stop but Ming Ming was out the door before the words even came out of her mouth.

Now left with only the two of them, Fu Ya wanted to say goodbye but just didn't know what to say. Both of them felt comfortable talking with each other just moments ago but now without Ming Ming they felt like two teenagers having a crush on each other.

”Well, I'll see you another time then Wang Ming. I hope everything goes well and you can clean up your problems as well.”

”Right before I forget it, I think you could sell the chocolate noodles in your restaurant as a dessert. It's one of the best desserts I've ever tasted! Do you remember my business partner, the one at Tianzhaicun area? He has professional and experienced chefs making desserts for him, and even their desserts weren't as good as this one. Goodbye!”

”Thank you, goodbye.”

Seeing Fu Ya's departing back, Wang Ming felt discomfort in his c.h.e.s.t. He felt like he just couldn't let her leave like this. Even though he felt confused about his own feelings, he felt the need to convey what he knew to Fu Ya.

She was right at the door, just about to exit his house, when Wang Ming grabbed her shoulders, which scared her and turned her body around. Their faces were only a few centimeters away from each other now.
