Chapter 74 - I like you (1/2)

Following Lang Lin and the group inside, Wang Ming tried to stay close to her. Since he knew that Feng Jiayi wanted to get closer to her.

Walking behind her, Wang Ming and the group walked past two checks before finally getting into the bar. He thought inside the bar would be noisier, but on the contrary, the bar played an old time classic, Can Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley. Just loud enough for everyone to hear, but not so loud that it's uncomfortable.

The reputation of the bar really wasn't just hearsay. Not only did it look high class and fancy. The designer who designed the bar did a superb job, making it so people feel at ease and not intimidated stepping into the bar.

Wang Ming then saw a receptionist hurriedly running towards Feng Jiayi. It seemed like it wasn't his first time here, Wang Ming couldn't help but think if it was here he brought all of his targets.

”Vice president Feng! Did you have a great time last time? I heard you broke your record last time you were here! You got seven v.i.r.g.i.nities in one night!”

The receptionist clearly wanted to kiss Feng Jiayi's a.s.s, since he saw that the six other people he had brought were couples. So the receptionist thought he was just here to have some fun, not to hunt.

”What are you talking about!?I'm Vice President Feng but I'm a faithful man, I've never broken up with a woman, they always break my heart. What v.i.r.g.i.n.i.t.y? Are you a sicko?!”

Hearing Feng Jiayi scold him, the receptionist realized he had made a huge mistake. Trying to rectify the situation, he shouted.

”I'm sorry, Vice President Feng. I have a poor memory, I thought you were Vise President Fang, he's the man that has an obsession with v.i.r.g.i.nities. Once again I'm so sorry, please let me guide you to your tables. We don't normally do this, but I have a table big enough for all of you or else I can do two double tables and one triple table.”

The receptionist had been in the game for a long time. When he said to bring the group to their table, Feng Jiayi raised his eyebrow slightly at him. Then, getting a nod from Feng Jiayi about the triple table, the receptionist hurriedly guided them to it.

None of them believed in what the receptionist had said, but they didn't pry. His business had nothing to do with them, though Ren Meng and Yin Yan also tried to vouch for Feng Jiayi's character.

Though what Wang Ming and the group didn't know was that there weren't any triple tables in the Tiger's bar. All tables were just enough for a couple.

Seeing the tables, Wang Ming and Lang Lin wanted to complain, but the receptionist told them that there were no other tables left and this was a triple table.

Wang Ming and Lang Lin wanted to take one of the double tables, but the tables got occupied by Ren Meng and Yin Yan. He Meifeng and Wan Ehuang couldn't do anything else, then flashing a sad smile to Lang Lin again.

Having no other choice, Wang Ming and Lang Lin seated themselves at the triple table with Feng Jiayi. Though Lang Lin sat at the farside of the table so Wang Ming was to her side while Feng Jiayi were further away on the other side of the table. Though since the table wasn't too big, she was still in reaching distance.

”Well, since we're seated at the same table, let's get to know each other more. I'm sorry if I intruded on your date and ambushed you, but I was just awed by your beauty, Lang Lin. I've never seen someone as beautiful as you, but I of course respect if you have a romantic interest in Wang Ming, then I will back off.”

Feng Jiayi realized he needs to play the gentleman role now. If he was too desperate, then it would make Lang Lin's impression of him even worse.

”He's a good friend, but he's also the closest to a romantic interest I have.”

It disappointed Wang Ming a little that Lang Lin didn't see him anymore as a good friend. But then they hadn't really moved past that line at all, so he didn't mind it too much. Though this meeting with Feng Jiayi gave Wang Ming a sense of urgency to secure Lang Lin.

If he didn't, someone could swoop in and take her away. Funnily enough, it was exactly one and a half month ago when Wang Ming thought that Lang Lin was way out of his league, but now he's on a 'date' with her.

Wang Ming felt like even though Feng Jiayi's words were him being courteous, it was pretty cleverly thought out. It accomplished three things, complimenting Lang Lin to rectify the view she has on him. To find out what his relationship with Lang Lin is an also show that he's a true gentleman.

”I'm a good friend of Lang Lin. But I won't hide this anymore.”

Looking straight into Lang Lin's eyes with sincere eyes and pulling her hand into his, Wang Ming said.

”Lang Lin, I know this maybe abrupt. But I like you. I've always thought about you ever since I saw you for the first time. I will not lie, your beauty awes me, it's one reason I like you. Though if it was only your beauty, then there are a lot of beautiful women out there, it didn't have to be you. But your kindness and how understanding you are, that's what made me like you. I understand if you don't like me back, but I hope we can still be friends if you don't.”
