A moment later, he was in another place.

It was a spacious room similar to the main hall in an aristocrat's house. The decorations were luxurious, as was the furniture.

In the center of the room was a round oak table. Around it were six velvet armchairs of mahogany.

At the end of the room, there was a huge painting of a white mask with a wicked and sly smile.

The last and most important detail was an engraved revolver lying on the table.

The revolver's cylinder was empty, and a single cartridge lay beside it.. It was nothing short of one of the most dangerous games of chance.
