Chapter 100: Massacre! (1/2)

Without wasting any time, Ayaan hid in the darkness. He was already invisible so it wasn't easy to discover him; moreover, at the moment, there was a more important problem in front of them. The undead army was massacring the warriors of the kingdom without mercy; blood flooded the ground red; intestines and viscera were splattered around, creating a rather gruesome scene.

When the king arrived, the fight was already at the peak. The great mages of the kingdom were engaged in the fight with the skeletons. The number of skeletons was far above the great mages of the kingdom; therefore, people had to fight with two or three skeletons.

The powerful people were still alright; however, those at the early stages of the great mage were struggling between life and death.

The king looked at the scene with a grave face.

”Why the fuck undead shrine attacking our kingdom!?” the king gritted his teeth in indignation and helplessness. If it was really an undead shrine who wanted to destroy his kingdom, even life temples were to interfere, it would pay a high price to defeat the undead shrine.

Sadly, he knew the life temple won't interfere; there were hundreds of kingdoms like Vigon, on the eastern continent. They couldn't help every one of them. It would only harm their temple.

”Roar!”

Suddenly, a powerful roar resounded in the entire city, jolting the king out of his daydreaming.

”Arghh!”

Simultaneously, a miserable cry followed. When the king looked in front of him, the scene almost scared him out of his wits — a great mage who was fighting with the skeleton dragon was torn into pieces.

Half of the body was inside the dragon's mouth while the other half was hanging on the bone claw of the dragon. The blood was still pumping and the body was still twitching, rather a sorrowful way of dying.

When the people saw such a scene their back drenched in a cold sweat.

The dragon looked at the people in front of it, with its hollow sockets and started to chew the man's half body inside its mouth — looking at such a scene, people started to feel the urge to flee. No one wanted to die after all.

When the king saw the fearful expression of the mages around him, he couldn't help but frown; though for a second he also felt fear when he saw the miserable sight in front of his eyes; but later, he was able to collect himself. He could tell that the dragon was only at the eighth level of great mage; it wasn't at his level.

The king moved and went to engage with the skeleton dragon.

As the surrounding people saw their king had arrived to fight with them side by side, their fear as well started to fade and people again resumed their fight with newfound support which was the king of the Vigon.

Ayaan smiled cruelly when he saw the king going after the skeleton dragon.

Immediately, he issued a few commands and the four eighth level great mage skeletons which were fighting with other mages abandoned their fights and went to engage with the king. Just as the four skeletons left their fight, other eight skeletons took their places; two skeletons for each person.

Everyone saw this weird scene and felt their hearts tighten. At first, they thought the skeletons were attacking without aim; now, however, it looks as if someone was commanding these fiends from the shadows.

Ayaan wanted the king to engage with the dragon because if he were to go after those weak level undead he could easily deal with them one by one and in the end, only dragon and a few most powerful skeleton would remain which could be dealt with easily.

However, previously, when the king saw the scene of the dragon eating the great mage, he could tell that he needed to stop this undead or his trustworthy great mage was going to run. So to encourage all the people who were afraid, he took this step.

Creak~

Creak~

The sound of bones grinding under the bony teeth of the dragon echoed in the entire battlefield; blood dripped continuously from the skeleton's mouth, a cold shiver ran down everyone's spine, looking at such a scene.

”Fiend, I am going to kill you today, no matter what!” the king of the Vigon shouted furiously, dark red flames burned around his body. He was looking like a fireman from a Hollywood movie on the earth.

In the royal palace of the Doham, Ayaad wasn't able to see this man's attack; so he was eager to know about the strength of the man.

Immediately, a huge round ball started to emerge in front of the man. It was looking like a small sun in the hands of the man, powerful energy was released from it continuously. However, the man didn't stop and he continued to chant and the ball continuously increased in size.

This time, Ayaan didn't issue any command to his undead. They weren't undead without any sense, they were almost like living creatures and they had their own way of fighting; Ayaan didn't want to disrupt their fighting style. They were the creature of the undead plane after all — the plane where battles were like daily meals to them.

Someone like the king of Vigon couldn't come even close to them, in the matter of battle experience. However, the man was more powerful due to his magic energy, it was an undeniable truth.

Ayaan gave them only one command, ”Kill!”
