As they sped through the city, it was already dark when they arrived.
She said goodbye to the man, then rushed into the café and dialed the number. The phone rang, and she looked around, but there was no ring in the café.
The man must have left impatiently from waiting!
She immediately ran out of the coffee shop and continued dialing while walking haphazardly.
She couldn't stay in the same place, because she would be easily discovered by Mo Zixiao's men.
After calling countless times, a man's coarse voice finally came out, ”You're late!”
”Yes. Sorry, I met with an accident on the way, so I was late. Can we meet? I still want my stuff. I really need it. ” After she finished speaking in one breath, she did not dare to pause for fear that the man would not agree.
There was a long silence on the other end of the line. Then, with a pleading tone in her voice, she asked carefully, ”Can I? Can I trouble you to come out again? ”

Entering the coffee shop attracted all the customers to look at her. She knew she was in a sorry state, but she didn't dare to run to Wei Wei. She first went to wash her face before finding a seat near the window. Just as she sat down, a young and handsome waiter came over and politely asked, ”Miss, do you need any help?”
”No. No need. Thank you! Please get me a cup of coffee and a piece of CHESS cake. ” She quickly waved her hand.
”Are you really all right? Your face and arm are all wounds. Wait? If you need me, I can help you call the police! ” the young waiter asked warmly. ”There's really no need.” She felt a headache coming on. Right now, she was most afraid of being noticed. ”Please leave me alone.”
”Alright then!” Just a moment, please, and the coffee will be here in a minute. ” The waiter finally gave up and left. Not long later, he served a cup of steaming hot coffee and a small piece of delicious CHESS cake.
She sipped her coffee, checked the time on her cell phone, checked that ten minutes had passed, and looked up at the door.
The door just happened to be pushed open. The person who came was big and tall, with curly brown hair and a thick beard. His sunken eyes had a serious expression, as if he had been staying up all night.
Instinctively she wanted to raise her hand, but in the end she didn't, because she was on the run now, and she couldn't afford to be so flamboyant if she wasn't sure the person was on the phone.
The man came in, stopped at the door, looked around, and settled on her.
Frowning, he strode toward her.
Her heart rose high in her chest as she waited there quietly. Her mood was complex, and she didn't know if it was death or angels.
He sat down across from her and took out his hands, which had been in the pockets of his pants, and placed some papers on the table.
She didn't dare to look at it too closely and felt that she didn't need to because the person designated by JASON definitely had good skills.
She grabbed it and stuffed it into her briefcase. ”How much should I pay you?” she asked in a low voice.
The man smiled indifferently, ”I will naturally make a deal with JASON for the money. You don't need to worry about it.”
”So it's like that! Thank you very much! ” She was worried at first that he would ask for a lot of money, which was illegal, and she wondered how much money JASON had paid for his papers and how much she would be able to handle in the short term, back home, if she bought a plane ticket.
Now, seeing that he didn't want it, he couldn't help but feel overjoyed.

”It looks like you've had a hard time.” He was in no hurry to leave. His sharp eyes examined the wound on her arm and face.
”There's no danger!” She smiled wryly.
”Go buy some clothes, then quickly and obediently stay in the hotel. Don't come out.” He stood up, threw down a word of advice, and turned to leave.
She ate the coffee and the cake in a few bites, then paid and went to Wei. He washed his face briefly, ran his hand through his hair a few times. He looked much fresher and cleaner, then left the café in a hurry.
She didn't dare to go to the store and directly bought a second-hand two-piece set of clothes. The quality seemed pretty good and it was even a famous brand.
He also gave her a small bag to buy her clothes. Basically, she could store her phone or some change in it.
That was exactly what she needed right now.
He put on the black suit and went to the pharmacy to buy some ointment.
After paying the bill, he directly crossed the street and moved into the Manhattan Hotel.
This was the hotel where she and Xiao Boyao had stayed when they first arrived. As she walked in again, her emotions were indescribably complicated.

She lived in a single room on the thirteenth floor. As soon as she entered, she immediately walked into Wei's office. Bath at birth.
When the water washed over her, she felt pain all over her body, but she did not groan. She hastily washed and rinsed herself, simply blew her hair half dry, and walked out of the bathroom.
