Jewelry-type equipment was considered rare equipment in God Domain. The Pentagram Necklace was also a Purple equipment, which had a much higher value. However, what pleased Liu Ming the most was the Pentagram Necklace’s Critical Hit rate boost.
With the 10% Critical Hit rate boost and that of some weapons and defensive equipment sets, Liu Ming managed to score a Critical Hit every three slashes when Blessing of Lady Luck was activated.
The Blue Doomsday Knight Apprentice Defensive equipment also had much higher stats than the Green Metamorphosed Giant Rat equipment set, let alone the Level 5 Green equipment that Liu Ming was wearing.
The only flaw was that Liu Ming was only Level 7 now. He could only equip the Doomsday Knight Apprentice equipment at Level 8. There was no way Liu Ming would be able to wear them to catch the mastermind during this mission.
After putting on the Pentagram Necklace, Liu Ming’s Attacking Power immediately broke through the 200-point benchmark; his Defense had also reached 95 points.
This was the stats that Liu Ming now had before he had undergone an official change in profession. The Basic Stats Transformation Panel’s Attacking Power and Defense ratio was only 1:1. Otherwise, the additional stats would definitely be higher.
…
After adjusting his state, Liu Ming headed towards the destination of his trip and delved deeper in the cave. This part of the journey looked increasingly spooky under the light of the green torches on both sides. However, other than this, no other monsters or traps were present.
This also allowed Liu Ming to quickly reach the end of the passage and arrive at an underground palace.
The style of the entire underground palace was still very horrifying. In the underground palace was an altar that was sculpted out of white bones.
On the white bone altar were 13 figures clad in black robes.
Those 13 people had their backs facing Liu Ming, and they were staring at a bright sanguine rock in the middle of the altar.
Liu Ming had merely stared at the stone for three seconds before a system prompt appeared in front of Liu Ming.
[Mental Pollution State: The Adventurer’s Strike will decrease over time. If the state is not removed in an hour’s time, the adventurer will lose control. The state of being out of control will be removed once the adventurer dies.]
[Note: One minute after the adventurer moves away from the source of pollution, the Mental Pollution state will be removed automatically.]
[Countdown to Out-of-Control State: 59 minutes 32 seconds]
While cursing the inhumane game planners, Liu Ming looked at the system prompt and verified that the people clad in black robes were the masterminds behind the animals’ berserk behavior.
The source of the animals’ berserk behavior was the red stone. Hence, Liu Ming then focused on the information bars above the figures clad in black robes.
Doomsday Devotee: Level 10 (Elite)
Health Points: 2,500/2,500
Introduction: Devotees who believe in the Seven-Evil Highlord Of Doom will have their hands stained with the blood of the main world’s living beings.
…
Doomsday Friar: Level 10 (First-Promotion Elite)
Health Points: 3,500/3,500
Introduction: Those who have officially stepped into the Extraordinary level are much scarier than the average Doomsday Devotees
All of the 13 black-robed figures were Level 10 Elites. Three of them were Doomsday Friars, who had each already made a successful change in profession.
A change in profession was not as simple as gaining more attributes, especially for humanoid monsters. After a change in profession, they would gain plenty of strong Skills in addition to an increase in stats.
It could be said that a First Promotion existence would be able to fight several same-level monsters that had yet to be promoted. Of course, even if those three Doomsday Friars had the same stats as the rest, Liu Ming didn’t have the ability to fight 13 Elite monsters on his own.
Besides, the game planners had also implemented a setting where the player would die and be sent back to the city if he or she did not leave the cave in an hour.
However, just as Liu Ming was planning to go back to leveling, he discovered something amiss with the situation.
