22 THE ASSHOLE AND THE IDIO (1/2)

Xuan Tianyi wasn't really sure how he found out the location of where Hua Zhendan lived. He didn't even clearly remember how he got there. It was like they said in those love songs; all roads led him there.

His biggest difficulty had been getting past the security guards at the gate. They wanted to inform their boss there was someone looking for him, but he didn't want that. He wanted it to be a surprise. He had sat them down and told them what he had called 'The greatest love story of all time.' They all disagreed with him, but if this man was trying to woo their boss, they might just let him be. Who knows how their boss would react if they ruined this boy's surprise?

When Xuan Tianyi walked towards the door of Hua Zhendan's apartment. He was intimidated again. The only place he's ever lived that was half as big as this was the orphanage. How can you ask out such a man when you have nothing to offer?

With a sigh of desperation, Xuan Tianyi decided to go for it. If Hua Zhendan turned him down, he'd figure out what else to do. It was better than never finding out.

Xuan Tianyi sighed again, then rang the doorbell to the apartment.

In a few minutes, the door opened slightly and there was Hua Zhendan, holding his door open and leaning against the door frame. ”Jesus. It's you again. What are you doing here by this time?”

Xuan Tianyi was mesmerized by this sight of Hua Zhendan. The man was putting on a faded grey T-shirt with a small short. He had only ever seen him dressed in a suit before. The man looked as good in T-shirts as he did in suits.

”What do you want?” Hua Zhendan asked in an irritated tone.

”I... I came here. Because I... I... I remember,” Xuan Tianyi stuttered.

”What do you remember?” Hua Zhendan stared at him contemptuously.

”You... Me... You and I... That night in Pingjing.”

Hua Zhendan raised a brow at this. He didn't think this idiot would ever remember that. ”So?”

Xuan Tianyi didn't know what to say. He clearly hadn't thought the whole thing through. He had expected that once he said he remembered, they would hold each other's hands and ride into the sunset. For lack of something better to say, he said, ”I... I'm sorry.”

Hua Zhendan snickered. ”Sorry for what, breaking my heart? Do you think you broke my heart? Isn't that wishful thinking?”

Xuan Tianyi shook his head. ”I don't know. I just know that you like me. And I like you too.”

Hua Zhendan looked at him listlessly. ”Who likes you?”

”Zhendan,” Xuan Tianyi took one step closer and held Hua Zhendan's hand. ”Please, don't do that asshole thing you do. I really do like you. A lot.”

That simple touch. It was enough to confuse Hua Zhendan's smart mouth into saying nothing; it sent an electrifying wave down Hua Zhendan's body. God, he's wanted to feel Xuan Tianyi's touch for so long. Yet, he wanted to push him away. The torment.

As Hua Zhendan didn't respond, Xuan Tianyi got more confident. He took one more step forward and moved his hand to Hua Zhendan's neck. Then he put his lips on Hua Zhendan's, slowing imploring him to accept him.

Hua Zhendan's heart thumped loudly in his chest at the feel of Xuan Tianyi's lips on him. In surrender, he slowly parted his lips. Forgetting his earlier resolve to let Xuan Tianyi go.

Expertly, Xuan Tianyi ravaged his mouth. Hua Zhendan released the door and held onto him for dear life. His heart beating fast with every breath he took. He felt like in a moment, this would pass, so he wanted to savour every single second of it.

Taking over, he pulled Xuan Tianyi into the house and slammed him against the wall. He released him only long enough to close the door.

As he tugged at Xuan Tianyi's clothes, Xuan Tianyi groaned in pain. Hua Zhendan frowned, then pulled away. ”Are you hurt?”

Xuan Tianyi smiled at the tenderness in his voice. With every bone in his body, he wanted this man to be his lover. ”No, I'm fine.”

Xuan Tianyi leaned into Hua Zhendan to continue their kiss but Hua Zhendan pulled back a little further. ”You're not fine. You're still hurting from the pain in your body, right?”
