Chapter 99 - This adorable little thing is at it again (1/2)
In the kitchen, Davi and the two young boys were cooking happily while a certain man was left sitting on the couch. When he heard their laugher, he stood up and walked towards the kitchen, curious. He then leaned quietly on the kitchen's door frame and just watched them.
Davi immediately felt his piercing gaze so she knew he must be close. She turned her head and she was right. The man's face was blank but the moment she looked at his dazzling eyes, she didn't know how but he just turned into an abandoned, adorable, little beast in her eyes, causing her to immediately walk towards him.
”Wanna join us?” she asked hesitantly. The man instantly nodded, causing Davi to be a bit taken aback. Well, she was kind of joking when she asked that question as she couldn't possibly ask this man, of all people, to help them cook. She just wanted him to sit there like a king but when she saw eagerness in his gorgeous eyes, she just didn't have the heart to say no.
”A-are you sure?”
”Yes.”
Davi was shocked at the speed of his reply. So, she helped him roll his sleeves up before finally giving him his most awaited task. She gave him a wooden spatula and asked him to simply stir the soup.
Sei-er immediately nodded as his gaze was directed to the boiling pot.
At that moment, Davi and the two young boys all focused their gaze towards him as they waited for him to start his task. YiJin became unbelievably restless, as if he was about to witness something unimaginable.
Sei-er then carefully lifted his hand and started stirring the soup seriously, as though he was doing some scientific experiment. His stance wasn't relaxed at all that Davi couldn't help but chuckle.
She walked closer to him and she held his hand gently.
”Lower your arm, hold it like a pencil,” she said as she kept smiling while the man just replied with a ”Mn.”
After Davi's instruction, the man finally relaxed a bit and as Davi watched him, she just couldn't help but feel the fluffiness again.
”Am I doing it right?” he then asked and Davi just nodded like a rattle.
”Mm… great job, you're doing well. But make sure that the spoon reaches the bottom, okay?” she replied and when he nodded she turned away and continued peeling potatoes, glancing at him every now and again.
Moments passed by when YiJin suddenly sidled closer to her.
”Miss, the boss has never used any kitchen utensils before… are you sure this is fine? What if he gets burnt? What if he gets hurt?” he whispered worriedly.
