Chapter 93 - You Look Tired (1/2)
”I'm sorry, Ms. Lee but I will have to give up going to A University, if that's the case. I will target XiZe University instead.”
”But you know that XiZe is the hardest school to enter right? Their standard is too high. To get the full scholarship, you have to get a score of 99% to 100% in their exam. You might already know this but in XiZe's history, the test was so hard that only around ten people managed to get through in the past decade. I know you're capable, but it's still risky.”
”I will try my best, ma'am.” Davi understood that she would have to go through hell and back to get the scholarship in this school of gifted people. The school was the strictest when it came to choosing its scholars, but it also gave the best initiatives. She even heard that being granted the full scholarship in XiZe was the same as being the school's VIP. Thus, she strengthened her resolve to do what she must to challenge herself and pursue her dream.
”Sigh… This girl. I knew you would say that.”
”Thank you.”
”That's why I called you to come by personally. Since you've decided to target XiZe, you have to work even harder. Come, I want you to meet someone.”
Ms. Lee then brought Davi into a city lab and introduced her to an old professor, Mr. Zheng. She said his student was the one who aced XiZe's entrance test two years ago, which made Mr. Zheng the perfect coach for her.
As soon as Ms. Lee left, the genius looking old scientist wasted no time and began loading her with tremendous knowledge that excited her and drained her stamina at the same time. He even made her help him do his experiments while he talked nonstop, discussing the different points of their work as though she was his newly hired assistant.
Well, she really didn't mind. She was just way too impressed at the amount of knowledge the old man knew. She could even say that he was the smartest professor she had ever met in her life.
”Anyway, how old are you?” the old man asked.
”Nineteen,”
”What's your IQ?”
”Err… I actually don't know, Professor. I stopped taking IQ tests when I was 12.”
”Come back here the day after tomorrow. I will give you a test.”
”Yes, thank you very much.”
