152 The Night Raid (2/2)

When he heard Hayato's explanation Linri relaxed. He wasn't worried about the Sentry Guns themselves but the loud noise they would have made. Yeah, it was mentioned in the club that Snow's room was insulated and no noise should leak out but it was always better to not take any chances.

”That was it? Seeing you acting like such sissies I thought there would be more action” said Selim. He was clearly disappointed that he didn't get to fight anything. He was about to walk towards the fridge when the trio heard a certain noise.

Two holes opened from the ceiling and Sentry Guns started to come down. Linri concentrated. He only had a single shot with this. If he missed there would be bullet holes in the ground and they would be caught. Okay, no pressure... Just shoot the damn thing! Okay! Don't shout at me! It is making me nervous!

Two Icicles shot out of Linri's hands and accurately hit the guns in the muzzle. Linri didn't waste his time to use [Ice Manipulation] and made the ice go in through the cracks and ravaging the machines from the inside. On the surface, they looked fine but there wasn't a single undamaged part inside them.

”Phew! Hayato get working on those security systems and Selim. Don't you fucking dare take another step again” said Linri.

Both of them did as they were told. Hayato was hacking Snow's personal computer and Hayato was standing guard at the door and making sure no one was coming their way. Linri, on the other hand, was thinking where would he hide his top-secret documents if he lived in this room. He tried everything he could think of but nothing worked. Did that mean she really was not working with Renegades? No, Linri doubted that very much. Then maybe she was hiding everything online just like Hayato first suggested. Nah, she can't be that dumb!... Can she?

”Done,” Hayato said as he lifted his head from the computer. All the security systems in the room were temporarily disabled.

”Selim come here” Linri called him. He finally had an idea that might actually work.

”Yeah?”

”I need to you go and phase around everywhere in this room including the walls and the floor. Try looking around for a hidden compartment. Can you do that?”

”It would take a lot of time,” Selim said. He looked like he wasn't interested in doing this. He wanted to ofFER BLOOD TO THE BLOOD GOD!!! Yeah, jokes aside he would really appreciate it if he could punch something.

”Doesn't matter we still have a couple of hours” Linri said. Selim reluctantly started to search the room.

Hayato didn't say anything and kept searching the computer and copying the whole database into an external hard drive. Someone should pay handsomely for the inventions in this thing. Seeing that Linri did not say anything. They had agreed before that Hayato was not allowed to sell any kind of weapons he found inside there and could only contact the research facilities for deals. Most importantly Linri was getting a fifty per cent cut from every deal he made. It was a fair contract and even if Linri did not mention it he didn't have any plans to sell it to any governments either.

”Guys? I think I might have found something” said Selim as he peeked his head out from the wardrobe.

”Dude! We don't have enough time to perv over Snow's sexy clothing... Although I don't think I would mind a sneak peek. Come on tell me! What does she have in there?” Linri was rubbing his hands like a creepy little old man.

”That's not what I mean. Just fucking come!” said Selim as his head disappeared inside the wardrobe again.

Linri seemed excited. He was joking around about Snow's sexy clothes but Selim might have really found a treasure in there. No, he didn't mean her clothes you perverts! He meant Selim might have found her hidden stash!

”So what's the deal?” Linri asked after opening the doors of the wardrobe but Selim wasn't there. Snow's clothes were neatly folded, sitting there without any sign of him. Linri was getting confused when his head peeked out behind the back of the wardrobe.

”It's pretty hard to describe in words so just take a look at the pictures I just took,” said Selim while handing out his phone.
