115 Zero (1/2)
Principal Richard slowly walked towards the podium. He was a man clad in black. He had pure white hair along with an unkempt beard. One of his eyes was covered by an eye patch. Even though Richard was a standoffish guy and he really liked the look, his left eye was really blinded in the past so he had to use an eye patch. It made him feel like he was a pirate so he had no issue with wearing it and even saying 'Arrr!' from time to time.
”Hello everyone, I am Principal Richard Ashwood but you can call me Richard, I don't really like formality and we would feel closer if you called me by my name, right? I am not really good with this opening speech stuff and to be frank it is quite bothersome. I mean let's be honest, I don't like being here talking and you don't like listening to some boring sermon either so why torture each other? That's why I will just delegate my duties to the Vice Principal Zave Zaward. Come on, double z the stage is yours!” said Richard before getting off the podium almost like he was escaping from the cops. Yep. This person was definitely the Richard remembered.
The teachers were baffled. From their body language, it seemed like this was not in the plan and Richard was just running away from his duties. Among them, a blond man walked towards the stage. He was of Germanic descent and unlike his peers he looked like he composed, sorta like he expected this. He was wearing glasses so he had a sort of serious and no-nonsense kind of appearance. After arriving at the podium he took out a piece of paper and started to read from it. He really was prepared!
”Hello dear students, I am Zave Zaward one of your Vice Principals and the History teacher. As always I am happy to see that the new generation is blossoming and welcome you to our institute. Some of you might be aware that this institute was closed down for some time but today is the day we reopen our doors and start accepting students once more! We hope that -”
Then Zave started to give an obviously boring opening ceremony. Don't get me wrong the speech was obviously well crafted but he sounded like a robot so it took away all the emotion from it. At first, the students were silent and listening very carefully but as he went on and on without any sign of stopping even the most diligent student would be bored. So after about 15 minutes, almost everyone was whispering among each other. The worst part of the speech was Zave was not even saying anything important. He was just talking about the past achievements of the school in a roundabout way. He hadn't even arrived at the part where he was going to talk about the school curriculum.
Also, was all that really written on a single piece of paper? If not the guy had a great mind to memorise all that useless trivia.
”Such a boring guy right, Arge? I think even this guy would agree with me” said a guy sitting next to Linri. He turned towards to see who it was and saw that it was a guy with yellow spiky hair, a pink bandanna and lots of piercings. Linri could not remember who it was so it must be just some mob from the club. Well, he might be a long term character too but since Linri only interacted with only a handful of people in the club, you could not expect him to remember every single face in there.
”Zeek, stop bothering the guy. I am sorry for my friend. I am Arge, and you are?” said a guy with Jet black hair and red eyes. This was another person Linri did not have any idea about. He frowned, he did not expect to meet two people he could not remember right out of the gate.
”Linri” He decided to give just a single word answer. He was waiting for Zero's attack so he did not want to waste his time talking to them.
”Come on dude! Don't be such a killjoy. We are all going to be classmates in the future so shouldn't we mingle a little?” Zeek did not seem to be catching on to the fact that he wanted to be left alone or he was consciously ignoring it.
”Why should I bother mingling with a dead man?” upon his rude remarks Zeek scowled.
”Are you threatening me?” He seemed ready to take this outside.
