63 The Meaning of Life (1/2)

The next day came

Linri woke up from his 'dream' as usual, at first it was pretty taxing on his mind but ever since what happened at the temple dying did not bother him much. Still, this was a problem because his brain was losing touch with the reality. If the 'dream' did not stop there was no way that he could get back his danger sense back.

After his morning training with Arkady, Linri went back to his room. It was finally time for putting one of his plans into action but first, he needed to contact someone. The problem was he did not remember how to contact him.

It had been more than 2 years since the club closed so it was not like he could remember everything. What made the matters worse however was the fact that this was just a small detail in one of the characters' biography. Even now the only reason he had somewhat of a recollection of that was because he had found it funny and the joke had stuck with him.

That was it!

Because of the joke he just thought of Linri managed to remember the name of the web page. He immediately started to open the dark web browser in his computer and typed in the name of the website.

puter that could calculate anything. They had basically created an omniscient god, and that was only to ask a single question: The meaning of life. The computer had given told them that it would take 2048 years 4 months and 23 days to answer this question.

So humanity had waited, for more than two millennia. Every single being in the galaxy was excited. They were finally going to get an answer to the question which plagued the mind of countless life forms. When the fated day finally arrived there was a festive mood throughout the whole galaxy.

The computer was projected onto a big screen in each and every planet. The countdown reached zero and two of the original scientists' descendants appeared on the screen. They were here to ask the question and since their ancestors had died long ago it was their honour to ask it.

Once they asked the same question the computer gave them only a single answer 42 and started laughing. Basically, it had played a joke to the whole universe.

This part was one of the most memorable parts about the book to him. Apparently, Swindler18, creator of the character he was about to speak, thought so as well and that was why he added this as a sort of Easter egg.

When he put down the answer 42 and sent it his screen went black once more and a chat box appeared.

'How can I help you today?'
