55 Changes in the Heavens (1/2)

There was a heavy downpour as Lu Qingyun and Qi Keqin cuddled together as the bamboo umbrella was not that big.

The usually crowded street was now almost devoid of people and the few people that they saw were all running for the nearest shelter.

As Lu Qingyun was trying to be a gentleman, he had made sure that Qin Keqin was fully protected from the rain but alas, one side of his shoulder was completely wet.

Lu Qingyun muttered, \”Such a heavy rain. Alas, it seems that it would stop anytime soon.\”

Qin Keqin smiled as she turned to peek at him from behind her curtain hat veil, \”Why do you want the rain to stop so soon? Now that it is raining, you have fewer things to remember and your training actually becomes easier. So it seems that even the heaven is taking pity on you.\”

Lu Qingyun was a little flustered as he said awkwardly, \”Keqin…\” It was unnatural for him to address his master by the name and it was considered to be an extremely rude thing in the celestial realm. It was especially rude when a disciple was to address his master by the name in front of the master. But since Qin Keqin had insisted, he felt that he had no other choice. The Nine Celestial Fraternity used to have two of the greatest heroines that everyone had revered and that were the Great Saintess Ye Jing aka the Nine Celestial Goddess and the Great Saintess Fan Yuqing. She was actually the Great Saintess Fan Yuqing but she also had another secret identity and that was the Golden Mask Devil Goddess that had terrorized the entire Nine Celestial Fraternity in the past.

When the Great Saintess Fan Yuqing had suddenly disappeared from the Nine Celestial Fraternity, it was because she had taken back her old identity as the Golden Mask Devil Goddess to pacify the three heretic dark divine realms and brought it under her dark banner.

When the nine patriarch clans who were in charge of each one of the patriarch divine realm respectively heard that the Devil Goddess had made a comeback and had even united the three heretic dark divine realms under her banner, they were shocked and pleaded with the Nine Celestial Goddess Ye Jing to settle her, once and for all.

However the Nine Celestial Ye Jing seemed unwilling to get involved and since the Devil Goddess had made no move against the nine patriarch divine realms, it soon became a status quo for the past couple of centuries.

The patriarch celestial clans had no idea that the Devil Goddess was actually not in the heretic dark divine realms most of the time and was actually in their midst, doing nothing most of the time except for gathering gossips.

Qin Keqin smiled, \”He can only sell his bamboo umbrellas only on a rainy day. When the seasons change, only can he make some money for himself and his family. Circumstances may change all the time. It is just good that we can help him to earn a little bit more. One silver is actually nothing much to me but it may mean a lot to him.\”

Lu Qingyun was startled by her reply and he was impressed as he thought, \”Keqin really has a good heart. She is thinking of helping the others but I am so inflexible. Alas, it is no wonder that she is a fifth realm expert. I wonder when I can ever attain to her level of cultivation?\”
