Chapter 201 - Helping With The Training (1/2)

(Jane's PoV)

Because of my injuries, our trip back was delayed for several days. Those people in the village wouldn't allow me to continue my trip before they were sure my injuries had mostly healed. Doctor Mayang, a surgeon specialized in plastic surgery, made sure that the injuries didn't leave any scars on my skin. I must say that she was really professional and patient in treating me.

Only on my last treatment from her that I happened to know that she was one of the top five best students from a very well-known university in South Korea majoring in plastic surgery. Many big shots wanted to hire her to be their private doctors or even join their hospitals, but she refused it. Instead of starting her career in South Korea, she returned home and became a maid to the current family of the King.

Not a royal doctor, but a maid. What was in her mind at that time?

However, she only smiled when I asked about her reason. How strange was she?

Not only her, but also the other doctors that were sent to tend me were not ordinary people. Most of them graduated from a well-known university either in other countries or in Indonesia and held some achievements during their study there. Maybe the smallest achievement amongst them was from a doctor who graduated as the tenth of the ten best students in his university. He looked ordinary with his glasses, but when he checked on my injuries, I noticed the serious glint in his eyes that changed his whole aura and my impression of him.

Turned out, there was an incident during his mock graduation ceremony. The nine people before him all refused to be put before him. Not for a bad reason, but they said he deserved to be the first. In the class, during discussion or practices, he would act as if he didn't know anything. In reality, he knew so much that the nine of them together would not be enough to drag him down from his throne if he wanted it. He had skills, knowledge, and all it would take to be a great doctor. But, he purposely suppressed himself so that he wouldn't stand out. Only the nine of them knew how great he was since he was the one who taught them almost everything they knew.

Since he couldn't embarrass the village, even though he acted like an idiot, he still managed to get himself the last spot of the ten best students of Medical Department.

Now that I think of it, it was not a small achievement either. Instead, it was like a hiding dragon.

Well, whatever. They were all so awesome that I felt ashamed of my own self who took a leave on my first year as college student. Compared to them, I was nothing.

Since this place could gather this kind of people, I doubted this place was as ancient as it looked like. It was true there was no electricity here. Not to mention electric stove, they even didn't use gas stove. They were still using firebox to cook food. Superb, indeed!

It was modern era, but there were people who still used traditional firebox to cook food. It was like… imagine you are wearing a traditional costume, talking formally using ancient words, and standing in the middle of current era people. Ah, one more thing, you are hidden. No one could see you but you know the odd between you and the other people. Yet, you still feel like it's okay to be different and insisting to stay like the way you are now.

Well, I don't think that's a good example, but that will do.

Anyway, this place had so many talented people. Staying here after knowing that truth had somehow made my heart hurt. The thought of ordering these talented people like maids and servants made me ashamed of my own self.

It was better to leave the village as soon as possible.

With a resolute and full of determination expression on my face, I packed up my things. I also checked on the Black Creese once again to make sure it was still there and not just the scabbard. After keeping it safely, I walked out of my room to find those two men who were supposed to be my travelling partners.

During the time I spent on my bed to heal my injuries, both Sanji and Tom only came to visit me for a while in the morning before Doctor Mayang came then they would disappear. On the next morning, they would come again then disappear again.

What were they doing exactly?

I checked on their rooms but those were empty. The whole house felt so quiet that I couldn't help but frown. Since no one was here except me, I could only ask about their whereabouts from Siji.

”Siji.” I called him as usual.

Siji appeared in front of me in a flash. ”Milady.” He greeted me.

I nodded at him. ”Where are they?”

”Training, Milady.” Siji replied shortly.

Training? I frowned at that thought. What kind of training that made them forget about time? Was Siji the one training them?

”Will they take longer time? If so, then I will tell the others that I'm not leaving anytime soon.”

”It depends on their ability.” Siji shrugged his shoulders with ambiguous look on his face.

I frowned even more. The way Siji said it picked my curiosity. ”Can I take a look at them?”
