Chapter 120 - Your Master is Stupid (1/2)

(Jane's PoV)

Creepy laugh was heard from the Shadow's throat, mixed with a bit of his disgusting growl. Seeing it's scary and twisted appearance, I was sure it had forgotten its true identity. Negativity had given it a new power but it also had changed its appearance. After learning from Siji these days, I knew that these Shadows were mostly humans before. Even after their death, their greed didn't diminish, but instead it was getting stronger. With a bit persuading, they turned into human's pet, feeding of negativity and blood of living creatures, their previous human form changed into this horrid appearance.

Sometimes, some of these creatures were able to obtain a huge power and helped them to upgrade their level in the astral world, they could change their appearance to a soft and gentle woman or handsome and manly man. Compared to those who still had their human form, these beings were much more powerful and their form were much more solid than those newbie ghost.

Still, normal human couldn't touch them. And their scary appearance was much more scary than these Shadows.

Kunti was included in the higher level ghost who was able to change their appearance. Normally, normal dark magic practitioner couldn't summon her or use her. But, Amanda's father was not any normal dark magic practitioner. He used special method in summoning Kuntilanak to deal with me.

Too bad, I was not a normal person, too. Instead of playing with me, he ended up being tortured inside my house in astral world.

One must think... What if I didn't have this power?

No ifs.

If i didn't have this power, I wouldn't be targeted by them. They would treat me like any ordinary people since I possessed no threat to them. I was being targeted because they had sensed something in me. Too bad it ended up unlocked all the power inside of me.

Well, let's get back to the Shadow in front of me. It wouldn't be good to let it wait for me while I was reminiscing back to my days before I was able to see them.

”Siji, is there any way to see what it has done?” I asked my adviser.

”Put your hand on them and try to focus your consciousness. It might resist but you can use your authority to subdue it and freely look into his memory.” Siji answered.

”Sounds easy but knowing you, I won't think it is easy.” I shook my head. After all, Siji was probably a genius, and that's how he became an adviser.

Siji smirked but he said nothing. I put my hand on the Shadow's shoulder, ignoring its shriek and violent trashing, and closed my eyes. I had done this before, working up my consciousness and I had somehow had a grasp of how to do it. But, I had never done it towards any astral beings before. Invading someone's memory would not feel good, right? But with the authority as the master of White Army, I could do it forcefully towards evil beings.

I just needed to be careful and absolutely never underestimated those beings.

Well, easier said than done.

I took a deep breath and put my strand of consciousness imbued with my spiritual power into the Shadow in front of me. But, as soon as I entered its mind, I had the urge to pull out and beat Siji up.
