Chapter 5.2: Security Department

“Understood.” Xiao Zheng had a submissive look on his face.

“Louder! I can’t hear you! ” Bai Yujiao slammed her palm on the table again, scaring the two security guards who were closest to the desk away. Sweat poured down their back.

“Understood!” Xiao Zheng stomped his foot and nearly saluted Bai Yujiao.

“Very good!” Bai Yujiao was quite satisfied with Xiao Zheng’s upright attitude. She sat back in her chair and said to the leader of the group on the left, Tang Ming. “Take him to get his uniform. Teach him our security department’s rules, by the way.”

“Yes, Boss Bai!” Tang Ming answered loudly. It seemed that he had already formed a good habit…

“Dismissed! Go back to your position!”

All the security guards left the captain’s office as if a heavy burden had been lifted. Xiao Zheng was also led by Tang Ming to the locker room.

“Brother, what is your relationship with Mr. Deng?” On the way, Tang Ming casually asked.

“You have no enmity with him, right?” Tang Mingqi said.

“Of course not.” Xiao Zheng replied back. “Why do you say that?”

“Can’t you see?” Tang Ming lit a cigarette and muttered, “Our security department is not so easy to mess with. There are many rules. Let’s not talk about anything else. Just talk about the jobs you’ve been looking for before. Which one of them would be so amazing as to give our New Arcana Security Department such a huge blow the moment they’ve entered the service? To tell you the truth, I was scared to tears by Boss Bai the first day we went to work last month. My partner resigned the next day.”

Xiao Zheng lit a cigarette in passing and teased, “I wouldn’t have been scared to tears by a young girl earlier.”
