150 Culling the Flock pt 5 (2/2)
Draig's anger hadn't gone unnoticed as Souta and others ran to see what the commotion was only to see Ginji rolling on the ground covered in the burning remnants as his Smithy was torn to the ground by the Feratu.
Draig snorted in disdain as he finished demolishing the smithy before he turned his eyes on Ginji.
”If you won't forge my blade then I don't have a use for you. . . filthy mortal” growled Draig as he motioned for Souta to come to him.
”Lord, is everything okay. . . .” asked Souta uncertainly.
”Everything is fine, get rid of this person. He isn't welcome here any longer” commanded Draig as Ginji finally recovered from the initial shock of the hearth's contents covering him.
”Wait. . . . I won't leave without the Thousand Fold Blade.” grunted Ginji as he slowly got to his feet.
”That Sword no longer Exists, even if it had. You would hold no claim to it's ownership, Souta remove him immediately” spoke Draig with a dangerous glance towards the Grave Forger.
As Draig continued to wallow in his anger he felt his Mana inside beginning to flow more rampant, it contributing to his irritability as he tried to keep it under control lest he be destroyed by his own power.
The Feratu's mood had soured quickly upon waking up, his head was still a bit foggy causing his judgement and actions to be more reckless but at the moment he didn't see it as such. He only saw disloyalty from someone who had begged to serve him in the capacity of being his smith only to renege on this relationship over something out of his control.
Aoi who had just made it through the crowd saw the state of Ginji and turned a hostile gaze to Draig as she pulled her hammer causing those watching to gasp.
Draig had already built the reputation of being powerful and brutal, so naturally people were shocked that such a sweet looking girl would actually dare to stand up to him.
Ginji saw this and immediately backed down, he didn't wish for Aoi to get into a conflict with Draig as it would more than likely lead to her death.
”Aoi stop, it's fine. I'll leave, this isn't worth you getting into a fight with this bastard” stated Ginji stopping the would be slaughter.
”Ginji. . . I'll come with you then, I don't want to stay if you're not going to be here” mumbled Aoi slumping her shoulders as she looked at Ginji's face which had now been burned and began to blister.
Souta and those watching turned to look at Draig who just watched on coldly, he didn't feel a loss with Ginji leaving as the man had refused to carry out his duty which meant he was stuck without a sword either way.
'Need to find a new sword' grumbled Draig as he watched the two leave
