72 Training the Enchanter pt6:Bloodpulse pt2 (1/2)
The man Draig had sent out had been gone for so long that Draig had actually fallen asleep while waiting but was awoken by his shrill scream as he came sprinting as fast as his legs would carry him and behind him a group of four followed. Their faces showed murderous intent as the three eyed fool sweat uncontrollably.
”Boss, Boss. I got their attention, help me” cried the tri eyed man.
Draig looked up groggily though he was quick on the up take as his cane came into existence and pelted one of the men to the ground before he bit his wrist and tore a chunk of his flesh allowing for several blood spikes to fly forth and assault the other pursuers. Draig had expected a bit more from them but seeing as his initial strike worked he felt a bit disappointed at the quality of these people.
Upon closer inspection he found that they weren't even criminals, it was more folks from the Township.
”Strein, you bastard” cursed one of the people revealing Tri eyes name.
”We're from the same place and you dare trick us like this” cursed another.
”Is there a problem with what I have told him to do” asked Draig making himself known causing the group to fall silent. They knew of Draig's capability, they had seen what happened when the Feratu lost himself.
”W-what do you want with us” asked a four armed man with pincers that poked from his cheeks.
”I need to test a few theories” stated Draig as a cold smile appeared on his face.
'If I am not mistaken the Bloodpulse should be a mental ability instead of Physical like the BloodFortress and Bloodsmith. That means if can focus hard enough I should be able to elicit some kind of response' thought Draig as he stared at the bloodied men and focused on them concentrating his thoughts on the image of fire filling them, forcing them to burn from the inside out.
Draig tried it for a long time, changing his visualization each time he found failure. As the day grew long Draig refused to give up and continued trying different techniques while the group laid there in pain as their blood dried and their forms grew weaker. Confused as to why Draig had said he was going to experiment with them but had merely been staring at them evilly.
Draig's anger was reaching a point of sending him over the edge again as he felt the pulse hit him again causing him to renew his efforts only to find no success.
”Say ahhh” said Sherry as she came from behind and attempted to feed Draig again.
That seemed to do it as Draig's frustration from both the girl and his failures mounted until one of the men let out a horrified scream as blazing red steam shot from his open wounds. Draig seeing this lost his anger causing the steaming to stop.
”Damn it” growled Draig as he had succeeded but on accident.
Sherry seeing that Draig wasn't in the mood tried to comfort him only to be shoved away as the Feratu stomped off while killing the group he had captured.
”Boy” came the chilling gravelly voice causing the Heir of Feratu to freeze forgetting his anger entirely as he saw a ghost standing before him.
His eyes grew wide as he couldn't believe he was looking at this person, a person that should have been long since dead.
