32 Theysve been ..... Terror Struck (1/2)
Draig waited on his throne for Goeki and Tina to give their report, he had long been contemplating what to do with the captive Guilders and he was starting to form a vague plan.
'Two options..... fight for freedom or... swear their allegiance' thought Draig having decided upon presenting the choice to the captives themselves.
”Lord Sylvie has brought you tribute” said Sylvie walking in with a bowl
”Sylvie, I don't see you that often anymore” stated Draig curiously
”Sylvie is training to help protect her Lord” said Sylvie eyes filled with determination
”Very well” responded Draig with a slight frown.
Draig accepted the bowl of blood and consumed it heartily, he returned the bowl to Sylvie and once again began contemplating until he was interrupted by the sounds of the doors being opened.
”Lord we have brought the prisoners they wait in the courtyard for your judgement” reported Goeki before Draig turned towards Tina expectantly.
”The hunters are depositing the wealth gained into the armory and treasury as they see fit” reported Tina expecting a pleased look until she caught sight of those eyes peering into her very soul.
”Who is supervising them to make sure we do not come up short due to some sticky hands” asked Draig icily.
He refused to let there be a complete trust for those who were not part of his inner circle, that was an easy way to be betrayed.
”L-Lord I will return immediately to supervise them and take stock of everything we have gained” responded Tina quickly before rushing to the location of the Hunters to take stock of everything.
”Come Goeki” stated Draig as he walked towards the courtyard.
Goeki followed obediently wondering what his Lord had planned for the captives, he was hoping that they could be spared and inducted but he knew in the end it was up his Lord.
It didn't take them long to reach the courtyard where the Guilders who had been acquired were all kneeling awaiting their fate, soldiers kept the area secure ensuring that none of them took the opportunity to be a hero. This was the sight that greeted Draig upon his arrival causing him to form a smile.
”I will keep this short as my time is precious.... you can either join me and be inducted into my ranks or you can become a gladiator and fight for your freedom” stated Draig causing the soldiers and Guilders alike to be shocked.
”If you wish to join then come and kneel before me, to fight for your freedom stay where you are” commanded Draig.
A majority of the Guilders came to kneel before Draig leaving forty of them who would rather fight for their freedom.
”Very well your choice has been made, Goeki. Lead these recruits to the training field, leave these gladiators here.” ordered Draig as imposingly as possible, as of late he had been feeling that his followers were not fully understanding of the fact his words were law so he would use these gladiators as a example.
Turning around and returning to his throne he had a soldier at the side go and fetch Osmond, he would oversee the advertisement and construction of the Coliseum. He would also need Grog and his hunters to do something to make these types of things more interesting, as Draig thought about the plans he had made he could almost feel his influence growing as these plans were set in motion.
