17 Essence of a Vampire pt 3 (2/2)
The scene of the blood rising into the air and funneling into someone's mouth caused a temporary halt to the battle. Sylvie was amazed by this feat as well while her sister had gone pale in the face, she had doubted the legitimacy of the Vampire system and seeing this had made her a firm believer. Meanwhile Zarra was staring at the feat as well.
”This brat really is a leech” said Zarra watching it with a sickening awe
”I'm wondering” said Jared
”What” asked Sin
”Does it taste that good” asked Jared causing Zarra to turn and stare at the man with a dumbfounded expression.
Rodolfo was staring in morbid intrigue, he was a necromancer so the sight of blood had no effect on him but this was something he could find great interest in.
On the battlefield some of the weaker willed Guilders clutched their tokens causing them to be removed from the battlefield.
Draig suddenly felt something changing as his level spiked to seventy five and his body became firmer and his Mana pool swelled.
'System mutation taking effect, advancing please bear with the changes being made'
The system went silent for a bit before it announced the advancement
'System Mutation has taken effect, current progress Founding Bishop, Vampire Elite. Even other Bishops must pay their respects'
Draig smiled at what the system had said, he had wondered about the mutation that was mentioned but had found nothing other than the addition of titles and advancement of his inherent Vampire abilities. Now it made sense, his advancements had mutated.
Looking over the battlefield he felt his superiority, he then glanced at the remaining blood that was flowing towards him. It was not nearly enough to put a dent in his advancement. Raising his hand the blood flowed to it as it began to condense and harden forming a sleek crimson Rapier that shone like a ruby.
The guilders watching this felt their resolve weakening and slowly began to clutch their tokens leaving the battlefield. The ones remaining were those who were to reluctant to let go of the opportunity to grab this many resources.
”Shall we continue” asked Draig looking down at the remaining Guilders who looked at those around them, they wanted to test their luck but they couldn't count on not being back stabbed in return.
Gritting their teeth they clutched their tokens and were transported off the battlefield, causing Zarra to clench his jaw.
'This brat just ruined my examination, but then again I suppose from a different perspective he just saved many lives' thought Zarra calming himself and tossing two Bottomless bags at Draig's feet
”Sylvie hold onto those, I have something I want to try” said Draig as he stepped forward staring at Zarra with ruthless eyes.
