205 Paddle Against the Curren (1/2)
After her successfully done two scene performances, Wang Reiji gained the director and the production crew's respect and admiration, finally turning the tides to her favor.
The eyes that were looking at her with mockery earlier were staring at her with warmth. The disappointed awws that filled the atmosphere when she arrived were now replaced by wows of approval.
”Huh! Look at those idiots... After saying rude things and judging Miss Jing based on their ignorance, they are trying to get on to her good side now.” The make-up artist said, discreetly rolling his eyes at the production crew expressing his disgust towards them.
”Isn't it obvious? They saw Miss Jing's star potential! They probably realized that she will become a big shot in the entertainment industry sooner than later.” The senior stylist gave his observations as well.
”Chill... Just let them do what they want. For sure there will be consequences for their rude actions.” Wang Reiji smiled sweetly as she voiced out her reply.
”Indeed! Nobody's perfect! Miss Jing, in the entertainment industry you have to fight back or guard yourself against opportunistic people! Learn to be vigilant or you will be easily taken advantage of!” It was the make up artist lecturing Wang Reiji.
”Yes, you have to protect yourself from this person.” The senior stylist said jokingly, making Wang Reiji chuckle.
”How sweet of you... But you guys don't have to worry much about me. I am used to being around people who are great at deceit. Actually, I have met the worst type. What I am experiencing at the moment is nothing compared to what I had encountered before. Let's just focus on our job, shall we?”
”It's a relief to know that you are not a weak person. That despite your fragile appearance your heart is not frail.” The senior stylist said as he begun to fix Wang Reiji's curls.
”I am sorry to hear that you have been through a lot of unpleasant things. I can't just keep my observations to myself.”
”It is alright. But that's how things are. People are quick to judge. They will first search for your flaws and magnify them as if you did not do anything good your entire life.” Wang Reiji said as her lips carved a faint smile.
”But everything will be alright as long as you don't let their negativity reach you... Besides, you yourself know the truth. And that's what matters.” Wang Reiji added.
Soon as she finished talking, the two artists startled her with a hug. Though she was taken aback by their gestures she still managed to hug them back to show she appreciated them. However, in her heart she felt guilty. Guilty because she was not really an actress but the CEO of Oriental Europa. But that was the least of her concerns now. Afetr all her goal was not to make friends, her goal was to star in her own hotel's tv advertisement with the hopes of luring out the culprits and punish them accordingly.
”Listen, everyone! May i have your attention please! The director and I decided to halt the shooting. As we all know,the final stretch and the highlight of the commercial is the burn scene. To ensure that the fire will look great on screen, we decided to adjust the lighting so we can capture the burning effectively. We have to shoot some tests to get the perfect outcome. Also, to make sure that none of us will get hurt, we will also conduct safety check and prepare enough fire extinguishers in case the flames go berserk given our set's location. Having said that, we will wrap things early tonight. Shooting resumes tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. Please have a good rest everyone. We all did well for tonight's shoot.” It was the voice of Oriental Europa's head of the marketing department that pulled Wang Reiji back to the current situation.
