53 Whos This Nerd? (1/2)
Based on his facial expression, the young man in front of him was confused. So the chairman spoke to explain the situation.
”Sorry if I startled you. You see, someone had helped my granddaughter get away from the masked man. That person provided Leilei a chance to run away when he hit the guy with his tan crocodile patterned shoe.”Chairman Kiang explained.
”My granddaughter wants to personally thank her savior. So, I'm trying to look for the owner of that shoe. However, the shoe is no longer in our possession, the investigator brought it with him to their headquarters.” The chairman added.
'What? My Dami's in prison? I mean, my Dami shoe was taken by an investigator?' Wang Yuvin screamed inwardly.
He just wanted to help, how come things ended up like this? Now he must go to the police station to get his shoe back. What a pain! His head started to ache when he thinks of the long interrogation he'll go through just to get his precious shoe back.
He can't just openly admit that he's the shoe owner. The remaining group members might vent their frustrations on him. Well, he didn't want that to happen. He didn't want to cause himself any inconvenience. Besides, if he really wanted to play the hero, he could had just attacked the guy up front, right?
Wang Yuvin took a deep breath and gave Chairman Kiang his answer.
”Sorry, Chairman Kiang. I'm not familiar with shoe brands and their trademark.”
”I see. Thank you. It seems like I need to hire a private investigator to look for the owner.” Chairman Kiang frowned.
Upon hearing the chairman's words, Wang Yuvin was alarmed. He must act swiftly or he'll be found out.
After their brief talk, Wang Yuvin excused himself and left the chairman's office. He dashed his way through the parking lot and went inside his car.
As soon as he buckled his seatbelt, he stepped on the gas and drove his way to the city's Security Bureau.

Inside a small and square room, a cop just finished interrogating the man who took Kiang Leilei as his hostage. He immediately went to his superior to report.
”Sir, I didn't get much information from the hostage taker. He keeps on saying no comment and he has the right to remain silent.”
