Chapter 304: Are you proposing to me?! (1/2)
”I think that's beyond being merciless, ahaha, ” Ultima laughed descendingly, responding to Vortex.
Currently, the two of them were staring from one of the corners of the room.
When they saw Yman, they were about to call him. But they quickly changed their minds against it as they noticed he was together with some people.
However, it was unexpected that someone blocked the door when Yman's group was about to leave the barracks.
Well, it was Abel.
Ultima and Vortex failed to hear their conversation as they were quite a distance from where the door was.
The next thing they noticed, Abel was already in resonance with his deity.
Ultima stood up as he felt something wasn't right going on.
Even though Miss Almina was together with them, Ultima felt the need to intervene. After all, he was acquainted with Yman. On top of that, he was a Junior student. So it was only natural to try to stop the other junior from bullying the freshman student.
And Ultima disliked the idea of bullying.
However, before his foot took a step forward, he froze on his feet. A dull sound of impact reached his ears, then Abel was knocked away.
After delivering a powerful punch, Abel's figure was stuck in the ground, seemingly unconscious.
'Strong…' Ultima commented inwardly before replying to Vortex.
Not even the likes of Abel were able to fight back, even with his advanced resonance.
After defeating Abel without a sweat, Yman walked back, still wearing a cold expression on his face. He left Abel lying on the ground, in the center of a web-like crack.
Abel's deity was sitting on top of him, seemingly anxious at his situation.
<That's unusual of you, Partner.>
He heard a whisper from Sistela, who at the moment was in resonance with him.
'What do you mean?'
<You didn't plunder on that guy's belonging, especially his deity that is composed of excellent parts.>
'There's no way I do that in front of my sister!' He exclaimed in mind.
After canceling his resonance with Sistela, Yman walked towards the dumbfounded group.
Bob and the others were once again reminded that Yman was very different from before. Not even a junior trainee was able to fight back.
Yman's physical strength truly became a beast. In just a month, how did he acquire so much power? Maybe, he found some valuable item that boosts his strength while he was traveling in the Encantasia or he got to meet a master who taught him some ancient techniques.
Almina, on the other hand, was showing a warm expression towards Yman. She guessed that Yman left the city for a month to find a way to become this strong. After all, he was in a tight bet against Kiko. She was so happy for him.
She noticed Yman stopped in front of Miss Rea. Then he gazed at her. No one could see her real face except him, Yana, and Rea herself.
He used an illusion spell that everyone inside the range of 100-meter radius around Rea would be seeing a different face of her.
The center of the spell was Rea herself and not the people around him. Rea was unaware when a mosquito-type enhanced fire doll bit her a while ago. It was another version of the mosquito model.
He called it, Mr. Mask Quito-- the illusion master.
Well, it was just another version of a mosquito enhanced fire doll.
Rea glanced at him with teary eyes. Perhaps, she was mad that everyone was looking at her like she was so ugly. And also, it crushed her pride as a princess of two countries.
Nevertheless, she understood that it was for her safety that he did it. Still, she was mad for some reason.
Especially whenever Almina Amulet showed pity on her. Don't get her wrong. She wasn't mad at her because she disliked her. She was mad for an inexplicable reason.
Everyone was staring at him as she slowly fixed Miss Rea's hood to cover her head. The expression on his face was already calm. ”It's getting hot. Not good for your skin…” after saying it, he smiled.
Everyone showed a '0' expression on their faces as they glanced at them. Even Yana did as well. But it was much better if her brother said comforting words to Miss Rea.
”Tsk, that didn't make me happy,” Rea mumbled while looking away. But Rea understood what he meant. As someone who has also had a little knowledge about illusion spells.
She understood that sunlight could weaken the spell.
The group proceeded without giving a second look at the lying Abel. After all, it was all Abel's fault.
”Yman,” Almina called out while leaning forward to look at his face. ”Mhm?” He made a low guttural sound.
”Are you angry because that guy insulted Miss Rea?” She whispered.
”Well, that's one part of it…” he replied. In truth, Yman didn't care about the insult. It wasn't even true. When they saw her real image, everyone would be gawking towards her now. Also, he was half to blame for Rea's situation. So, if there was someone at fault that she got mocked, it was Yman himself.
”I, I see…”
”Regardless, don't you need to rest?” It was Yman's turn to ask.
”Uh, eh, err…” Almina was skeptical and everyone was looking at her. She wasn't even tired. She felt like she could walk miles of distance without resting.
