Chapter 65:Death Immunity Particles (1/2)
After the fight ended, the hole on the stomach of Kesha had already gone and it returned back to normal after the resonance had been canceled, like no wound on there in the first place except for the torn part of her training suit.
Yet some marks of blood are still on the ground. Wounds may not bleed while in resonance, but coughing blood is different.
The resonance's main priority is to ensure the body is safe by sustaining it with death immunity using the particles known as Photonocules, from the root word of Photon-Nano-Molecules.
It's not a type of molecule, it's just modeled after the molecules using the super-advanced technology and magic that became possible through resonance.
However, unlike the molecules, it prevents the person's body from heavy loss of blood and prevents him/her from dying when the person in resonance took a hit or wounded himself gravely that may cause a person's death.
Some people even called these Photonocules as Death Immunity Particles or DIP.
Although, it would only activate when a person was in resonance with their deity.
However, these DIP neglected wounds like a scratch or graze or any trivial injuries that would never cause death to a person in resonance.
After all, its main function was to maintain the body's safety of the person.
Even if the person lost blood and took grazes, as long as it won't cause the person's death, the DIP would neglect it. That's why, even if a person was in resonance, there's a chance for him to lose blood, suffer exhaustion, and take some grazes or any small wounds.
The light particles on Kesha's wound were the so-called Photonocules, Death Immunity Particles, or DIP in short.
Kesha lost her consciousness due to unbearable pain and from the accumulation of fatigue. But her condition was far from danger. Just a little rest and she would regain her strength later on. After all, the magician's body was tougher than the normal human.
She was stretchered to the medical tent that could be seen in the distance from the training grounds, Almina went with her.
Nonetheless, the battle she showed was highly commendable. That shield and a gun combo of hers will surely put headaches to all her opponents who don't have an ability capable of high penetration power.
It might be the reason why she was selected as one of the Elites even though she only has the affinity of 2 elements. Whereas most Elites had 3.
On the contrary, the Arrowbites ability of the blonde will surely become a big nemesis to enemies leaning towards Vitality and having low agility, and without any ability to counter it.
*Sigh!*
Yman let out a sigh after some thinking. If only he had such ability, he could probably finish his mission much faster and easier.
It was a good decision for the judges that they stopped the duel before something more serious would happen.
After all, it was only a mock duel.
He glanced at his left side and noticed the blonde panting slightly. A bead of sweat sparkled on her forehead when it was hit by the sunray. It added more appeal to her beautiful face. Her fair, smooth, and flawless skin was becoming paler, yet more attractive. Looking at her, Yman could tell that she was exhausted.
It is only natural though, for all that running and evading the bullets she did, certainly, anyone would be gasping for breath after that. And they were still fledgling, to begin with.
”Wow, congratulations M-Ms. Maena!”
”.....”
He forced a lazy smile when he noticed her ignoring the girl beside her who was praising her for winning the duel.
|What a snobby girl, ahaha.|
Yman commented inwardly and forced a laugh in a descending tone as he thought that this blonde really had no eyes and ears towards someone who was weaker than her. She would give notice only to those people who she deemed strong.
For some reason, Maena felt someone was gazing at her, so she glanced to her right side and caught that unhealthy person promptly turning his head to the front.
'Tis! This weakling.' She clicked her tongue. Her brows wrinkled and sent a sharp gaze towards him. She was certain that that person was looking at her originally.
Yman immediately returned back his eyes at the front while scratching the side of his face, because unexpectedly, that girl glanced to his direction.
He wondered if that girl caught him staring at her.
Regardless, he must focus himself on the instructor's announcements for the next battle.
'Hmph.' Maena narrowed her eyes at him and snorted before she returned her gaze at the front. Waiting for the next battle.
”Heck, I don't even know how Ms. Kesha was defeated.” Someone among the trainees whispered.
”Yeah, me too.” Added by another voice.
”Didn't she successfully block the attack of Ms. Maena?” Someone asked.
”Right.” Answered by another person.
