”It's nice to see you as well. How's Scott doing?” he asked.

”He's doing very well. He's been asking to see his brother,” the nurse replied. She knew a lot about Scott and felt sorry for him. He had been through a lot for a young man who was not even 25 years old.

”Thanks. I'll go inside and see him.” Louis entered Scott's room with Taylor on his heels.

”That's Scott's nursing assistant. She takes care of him when I'm busy,” Louis told Taylor as they walked into Scott's room.

”Hey, Scott. How are you?” Louis greeted. He knelt in front of Scott and gently stroked his head.

Taylor quietly observed the expression on Scott's face.

”Can you give us a minute alone, please?” Taylor asked Louis.

”Sure, no problem,” Louis agreed. He turned to Scott and said softly, ”I'll be outside, Scott, and let you have a minute with Taylor, okay?”

He then stood up and turned to leave. Before stepping out of the room, he reminded Taylor, ”Be careful. Don't provoke him, or he will hurt you.”

”I understand,” Taylor nodded.

Louis left the room and left the two alone.

He waited anxiously outside.

Honestly, he was not sure if it was a good idea to leave Scott and Taylor alone in the same room.
