Chapter 1391 The Injured Darrens Return (2/2)
Darren glanced at her, but said nothing. He pulled his arm out of her hand with an expression of pain on his face, as if he was enduring a quiet agony.
Seeing him like this, Bonnie's heart tightened. ”Did I hurt you?”
Hearing her anxious voice, Da
eath and kept telling herself, 'He is a patient. Don't take his abuse so seriously!'
However, she still couldn't control her anger. She shook Darren's hand off her wrist and went upstairs with the medicine box.
Darren didn't stop her from leaving this time.
But as soon as Bonnie reached the stairway, she regretted her actions. He was just a patient. Why should she get angry with him?
So, she turned back and said in a flustered tone, ”Well. . . . . . Remember to change the dressing! Besides,. . . . . if you are not happy, just have some dessert!”
It seemed that she was afraid of making a fool of herself, so her voice was not loud and could be heard only by the two of them.
Then, Bonnie turned around and rushed upstairs. Her footsteps were a light and brisk tapping as if two hands were dancing on the keys of a piano, playing a wonderful melody.
Darren, who was left sitting alone in the living room, suddenly smiled. In an instant, his smile seemed to be the only thing left in the world. It radiated the warmth of the summer breeze and the spring sunshine.
After that, the atmosphere around him turned cold again. Loneliness overcame him, shrouding him in a mysterious aura.
He never ate dessert, but after hearing what she had just said, he unconsciously took his phone out to order some dessert. He didn't realize what he had done until the dessert arrived.
What had he done? Just because she had said so, he had bought some dessert.
But since he had already bought it, he couldn't waste it. He tasted it and found that it wasn't too greasy, so he tried some more. In the end, he devoured all of the dessert.
It seemed then... as if his mood had really improved a bit.
