After he finished saying that, he realized that Ellen hadn't moved at all. And it seemed that she wasn't about to get off from the table, which vexed him greatly. He shouted out loudly, ”Will someone get in here and throw out this tramp?!”
Ellen was startled and reacted as if slapped. However, before she could do anything, two men entered the room. They marched straight to her, grabbed her arms and legs, and hoisted her up.
This time, Ellen knew fear. She trusted that Ethan would not hurt her. What she feared more was that she had really lost this opportunity to approach him and that he would now not help her at all.
As she was carried out, Ellen shouted desperately, ”Ethan, I beg you, save me. If you help me, I will pay any price! I really don't want to go to jail!”
